I think they are very common
We almost got into one, last about 2 months. But then we decided to spend more time together to fix it.
We take a weekend trip every 6 months no kids.
We make sure to talk.
We spend at least one night out at dinner or even coffee to talk more.
I also made it clear that sex is important.
I still like my wife so that helps.
The best result is that I have no desire to see SPs anymore.

From experience of my first marriage, I can tell you that you should bring it up to her and tell her how important it is to you. If she is not willing to work on it, through some type of marital help. It is time to tell her you are sorry, but you are no longer willing to be in a sexless relationship.
