Particularly when criticism of statistics is based upon a "suspicion of bias".
This analysis is complicated and prone to bias. Onthebottom presented a real life example how many low income people receive money credits back on their taxes. I have a hard time understanding how the lower 50% pays an effective rate of 25%.

Since I've seen this chart posted on Facebook the last few days, I suspect some academians or think tanks will dig into this analysis and try to make sense of it. Expect published responses in the next few weeks.

You forget sales tax and fees, costs that hit the poor hardest.

Licensing fees, sales taxes etc, take up a much greater portion of a lower wage earner’s income. (Imagine if they included lottery tickets!)

It is believable that low income earners spend about a quarter of their income on taxes.

Unfortunately, it’s a shame that so do billionaires.

Economists from UC Berkeley ya they're really objective. This study is fraught with inaccuracy. The average income tax burden of the bottom 50% of households is not even close to 25%. I punched in a single taxpayer making $65,000 salary living in New York state, one of the highest taxed states in the union. Standard deduction of $12,000 only. Average tax rate is 24.5% including FICA (social security and medicare premiums).

LOL. You are the one who is constantly quoting statistics when they support your narrative.
Vs the drivel of anecdotes and emotion you idiots expose
