What about all the actors in Star Trek in the late 60's, the klingons, the romulains, etc. Even actors now that dress as a character are they all racists. No they are not.
There were a lot of Klingons that were very offended by Star Trek.

It was vitiglio. Easier to bleach the remaining dark patches of skin than to re-pigment the light patches.
Let’s put thing in perspective. Once that moron became Prime Minister he should have could have come clean. He could have easily gotten in front of this by saying hey in my younger days I was stupid and in sensitive I put on a brown face makeup when I was in my teens and later did something similar when I was almost in my 30’s. For F ing sakes he apologized for everything that Canadians have done in the past up to and including the extinction of the dinosaurs but yet for some reason he was too much of a coward to own this screwed up.
