Good thing that under the liberals, SNC were still held to the law and the AG made her own, independent decision against them.
They had no choice under the law and she was fired for it. And they tried to hush it up.

Talk about a false neo liberal spin.........

She wasn't fired, she resigned.
She was shuffled as cabinet minister, but that's not firing.

Talk about right wing spin....

So your answer is you think a two tier justice system where rich multinationals can purchase their way out, while a poor company or individual could not, is a fair and just system.

And I'm a right winger?

Like I said, classic neo liberalism.
Are you listening? This is just not "purchasing" their way out. There were numerous Executives that were charged and jailed. The Company should then pay their fines and then be allowed to move on just like others. Siemens are doing so unhindered in Canada.

Yes you are a right winger and not so long ago I read one of your posts slamming the left wingers, when you were in agreement with the right wingers on this Board.

You are very confused and no doubt Bernie Sanders will cringe if he realizes that you are his so called "supporter". Your posts practically defending everything under the Sun with regards to Trump says it all!!

It is exactly purchasing their way out. The charges were for bribery in Montreal. And btw the CEO only got house arrest, and other charges were dropped because the crown dropped the ball.

You are for a multinational being able to have criminal charges dropped instead of bring held liable for actions. So corporate boards everywhere can breath a sign of relief.

And btw it's indeed up to the AG. Not the PM. But he did try to obstruct justice. In a campaign over months, and included removal of the AG.

The definition again of corruption. A multinational demands, Trudeau cowtowed, snuck a new law in an Omnibus bill(remember he promised not to do that) per their instructions, then when the AG said the case was too egregious due to their past history of corruption was removed.

That's what happened.

And you, in your support are no better than the worst Trump supporter, because you are doing it as a partisan.

Classic neo liberal.

Trudeau said he disagrees with Bill 21 but will not challenge it. He knows its a political loser. He is compromising his moral principles for political expediency.

No money changed hands.
The AG held SNC to the letter of the law.

Some scandal.

Compared to the shit you defend daily from Trump here, this is hilarious.
Move on, this 'scandal' is dead.

Classic Neo Trumptard supporter, pretending to be a Bernie Sanders supporter. Then he supports the most corrupt President in modern times, by passionately defending his scandals. In spite of the Board Members being arrested and are in jail, yet you want this Corporate company to go under, while you have no problems with similar but more corrupt companies like Siemens operating like business as usual in Canada. Yet if the certain POTUS was not the President, no doubt he would have been hauled before the Judge and made to pay the price just like his own personal lawyer and the rest of the campaign staff. Yet you will argue till the chickens come to roost, about his innocence!!

"In the video, Scheer is reportedly heard saying that 95 percent of Canadians have access to Pharmacare, and it is not something that needs to be heavily invested in.

While it is not clear whether Scheer was directly linking the 95% statistic back to Pharmacare in Canada since viewers cannot hear the question that he is asked, many are quick to point out that he is wrong.

According to Statistics Canada 1 in 5 Canadians are struggling to pay for their prescription medications each year."

Bver......

If this company Siemens is operating in Canada getting Federal govt contracts then that means it's the Trudeau Liberal party that is approving them.

So not only are you supporting one multinational known for bribery so they can continue, but the party that is giving other contracts to another company also known for bribing govt's for contracts.

Care to explain why the Liberals are giving contracts to bad actors? Both foreign and domestic?

Keep it up butler.
The polls say that the cons continual attempts to make this into a scandal are going to give Quebec to the liberals.
'Cuz Quebec supports SNC as their company.

Butler......, Siemens has been operating even under the Harper regime with Federal contracts etc.. They have paid the price wth huge fines in Germany and The USA. But it is business as usual for them in Canada. So are you saying that Canada should revoke their contracts for what they did and paid the price for it?? Yes, if globally they were condemned by all the countries then Canada should have followed suit. But can you not understand that there are around 40 of these type of scandals in the USA practically every year. That is why Canada are a laughing stock when there are hugely other much worse and real crimes that other Governments face but get away with it. This present Government down under is complicit in those real scandals as they are above the law, and the minions go to jail to pay the price for it!!

I still also have a landline and was getting calls from all the parties urging me to vote for them. I voted on the first day of the advance poll and the calls stopped. BTW: A landline is much harder or impossible to hack compare to a cellphone.

Question: Do the political parties know that I have already voted and that is why they stopped calling me?

P.S. I watched some of the French debates. It's really disappointing how much French I lost since moving to Toronto. When I was growing up in rural Quebec we spoke French and English inter-changeably which meant we spoke neither proper French nor proper English.

Will Trudeau regret not getting rid of "First Past The Post" when he had the chance?

So you support giving bad actors contracts then.....

Ever think there are other companies who aren't?

I notice Singh is now turning his guns solely on the Trudeau Liberals. Liberals tend to be "fluid".

May is complaining "First Past the Post" is unfair to her party. She prefers proportional representation.

It's too late for me but when you go to the poll tomorrow think long and hard before voting for Singh or Trudeau. It is not for nothing that they are known as "The Debt Brothers". Do you want your kids to be saddled with a huge debt and high taxes?

Doug Ford doubled Ontario's deficit in one year.
Scheer would likely do the same.
