Watching Pats/Texans. Brady's arm looks shot. Weak and inaccurate. So many low passes into the turf and not just today. The last few games.
Agreed ..... when the Eagles and Pats played a few weeks ago I could not believe the throws he could not make. He has nothing to hang his head about but it's time to hang em up.

I agree. Could be a case of dead arm. Their running game hasn't been good all year either. Sony Michel is only averaging 3.5 yards per carry. Perhaps they get right this week vs. KC, we'll see.

The 49ers (48) and the Saints (46) delivered a classic game for the ages on Sunday with 49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo finally coming of age. Back and forth they went until Garoppolo delivered a clutch strike to TE George Kittle on 4&2 with just a couple of seconds left. Kittle rumbled and bulldozed his way to field goal range aided by a face mask penalty. Amazing match. A possible rematch could be in the works in the NFC Championship.
That game was fantastic to watch.

How can Dallas or the eagles make the playoffs with a losing record? Both are 6-7 top of the division.

That would be a hoot. One of them has to run the table for a winning record, 2-1 makes them .500 They play each other so one of them has to get to 7 wins minimum. After that, who knows? Maybe they could get hot and steamroll to the SB.

It's been done before.
As I recall (not looking it up), Seattle won their division at 7-9 in 2010.

Forget to put in my week 14 best bets overall was an okay week for me at 9-7. Hopefully a better week 15 on tap. Here are some of my preferred bets of the week

1) Redskins +4.5 vs. Eagles. The Eagles offense is sputtering and they needed OT to beat the lowly Giants last weekend. Skins have quietly been improving as the year progresses and should keep this division match up at least close.
2) Seahawks -6.5 at Panthers. Not really a fan of laying a TD on the road, especially with Seattle, but to me it looks like the Panthers have mailed it in. They have lost 5 in a row including a 20 point trouncing at Atlanta last weekend. They are also giving up a staggering 395 yards of offense per game over this recent losing streak. Russel & Co should feast.
3) Rams -1 at Cowboys. This line opened at -3.5 Cowboys and the sharps have moved it by 4.5. The fact of the matter is one team is on the rise again after hitting rock bottom and the other is in a state of confusion. The Boys haven't beaten a quality opponent this season so no reason to think they will start now.

Tough week for you.

This is the 2nd week in a row that I have gone 2-1-1. I won with Vikes and Bills, lost with SF and pushed with Seattle (I only gave 6 instead of the 6.5 you mentioned above). At one point (after the Tgiving games) I was up $144 then lost all 3 bets on the Sunday to slide to up $45. Winning $27 each of the last 2 weeks, I am now up $Gretzky. Been betting $30/game.

Tough week is an understatement. I went 3-13 ATS. By far my worst week as long as I can remember. The only games I got right were NE,TB and Jax. Need a major rebound in weeks 16 and 17. Wasn't all bad though I made my fantasy football finals :)

Oh 49ers. After last week's heroics against the Saints in New Orleans, it was expected they would steamroll the hapless Falcons at home. But nooooooooooo. In a weird ending, the Falcons were first denied a called touchdown upon review while behind 22-17 with only a couple of seconds left because the ball scraped the turf in the end zone before being caught. Then they were awarded a winning touchdown upon review on the next play though the receiver never crossed the line but the ball was deemed to have broken the plane of the line. It should not have come to this. The team that converted a 4&2 against the Saints to kick a winning field goal couldnt convert a third down and had to settle for a field goal. Well, at least the 49ers have clinched a wild card playoff spot.

In an interesting coincidence, Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott and Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin, whose teams faced off in Pittsburgh last night, were once teammates at William & Mary. It was heartwarming to see them pose with their old coach. Mike Tomlin is only the 3rd Steelers head coach of the past 50 years!
What Tomlin and his staff have been able to do with this Steelers team is nothing short of miraculous. Losing their best two offensive players in Bell and Brown in the offseason, seeing Big Ben get hurt early then injuries to his backup, to JuJu Smith-Schuster to Jaylen Samuels, Maurkice Pouncey's two game suspension and the team is still 8-6 with a chance at a wildcard. I can't explain it - this team in reality should be 5-9 at best. At the same time gotta give Sean McDermott a ton of credit too he has turned this Bills franchise around. They have won big games on the road in Dallas and Pittsburgh and played the Ravens really tough at home. If the old saying defense wins championships means anything the Bills could do some damage come playoff time.

Houston is in my 3 best bets of the week

1) Texans -3 @ Bucs. Houston is in a dogfight for the AFC South with Tennessee. They play each other again in week 17. Houston would like that game to not mean that much by winning in TB and having Tennessee lose at home to New Orleans on Sunday would allow them to clinch the division. Tampa is also down its two best receivers and their running game is garbage. Winston is a Pillsbury turnover machine.

2) Chiefs -6 @ Bears. The Sunday night tilt. Line has moved towards KC public is betting them hard. That concerns me a tad. OK not really. The knock on KC has been their defensive struggles but if you look hard at the stats they aren't half bad this season. They are 18th in yards allowed but 12th in points allowed. And they've played some quality opponents - Baltimore, New England, Minnesota, Green Bay, Tennessee and Houston. Bears are without key defensive players Roquan Smith, Danny Trevathan and Akiem Hicks (likely). And they have nothing to play for. If Chiefs come in with their B game that should be enough to cover a TD spread.

3) Cardinals +9.5 at Seahawks. My dog of the week. Cards messed me up 2 weeks ago at home to the Steelers and 3 weeks ago home to the Rams. So why do I like them here? First, Seattle's defense is pretty bad and they will be missing two of their best defenders in LB Wagner and DB Diggs this week. Second the Seahawks may be worn out a bit from their recent string of games 4 of their past 5 have been on the road (Carolina, Philly, LAR and SF) with a home date vs. the Vikings in the middle of it. Given that I just don't see them blowing out the Cards who have a mobile QB and surprising running attack.

Rams vs 49ers. Game tied with less than 2 minutes to play. Garoppolo converted a 3 &16, first time he had done so after 50 previous failures. He wasn't done. On the subsequent series, he converted another 3&16, going for 46 yards with the Rams safety on an island all by himself. Gould kicked a winning field goal, the fourth consecutive 49ers game decided by a field goal in the dying seconds. Great game.
Never been a 49ers fan but man this team is super exciting to watch. They have 3 able RB's, very good veteran WR Sanders, an emerging star WR Deebo Samuel, a beast of a TE in Kittle, a fantastic D line and of course Jimmy G who is dangerous both in and out of the pocket. Their Achilles Heel is the secondary if they shore that up I could totally see them winning the SB.

Winston threw another 4 interceptions yesterday, including a pick 6 on their first series and another pick 6 on the second series that was negated by a penalty but the interception stood. With the most passing yardage at over 4500 yards, he would be the best passer in the league if not for these crazy interceptions. Wonder if he is still plagued by the poor eyesight that was revealed during his college days at FSU.
Given the 5 TB turnovers I was shocked to see the game end up so close in the end (decided by a FG). Nevertheless Houston won and covered the spread. It was a very good week for me, made some good $$.

I had to give 3 so I only pushed. My turn to crap out. I made 4 other bets and lost every one. !st time all year that I am now in the red. I am now down $33 overall. I suspect that my record is 11-11-5 meaning the juice on 11 bets of $30 is $33.

I actually was able to get Houston at -2.5. I'm 11-4 ATS this week so far with Minnesota -4.5 tomorrow night. Good bounce back from last week's horrendous effort.

Are you betting on every game? Tough to be over 55% which means you break even after losing the juice.

The way around that is if you are varying the amounts of your bets (and guessing right) and/or betting parlays and/or prop bets.

I've been trying to bet around 3 or 4/wk that I feel I have a handle on. I think I bet too many games this week and ones in which neither team had anything to play for. I might pass altogether on next week.
