The Raiders haven't been to the Super Bowl since 2003 and lost to the Bucs. They nearly made it the 2001 Super Bowl, but got taken out when Ravens Tony Siragusa belly flopped on Rich Gannon. Since then they've been more interested in acquiring name players to put bums in the seats, it hasn't worked for them.

Why do team owners bother with these clowns?
Actually, the Raiders under Al Davis had a history of picking up undesirables and making the Raiders competitive using them. It was a place where castoffs were welcome.

This guy is nuts, I think he might be bi-polar, kind of reminds me of the Charles Haley saga.

After what happened with the Raiders I can not believe the Pats gave him a signing bonus. While they seem to be able to handle troubled players in the past, AB is a special kind of whacko. I don't see this ending well for the Pats.

I kinda got the story as to why Antonio Brown was pissed off in Pittsburgh but what was his problem in Oakland ?

Charles Haley, is this the defensive tackle who won 4 SuperBowls with the 49ers and Cowboys. What happened to him?

Al Davis's strategy of bringing it castoffs worked to a point. He initially built his teams through the draft then brought in Jim Plunkett (Patriots), John Matuszak (Oilers) and Lyle Alzado (Broncos). The Raiders got their hearts ripped out by the mid 80's Chicago Bears and never recovered. Their last Super Bowl was in 2003 (the year that a Bill Belichick team didn't make the playoffs) where they lost to the Tampa Bay Bucs.

Antonio Brown knew what he was doing, he didn't like David Carr so he orchestrated his way out of Oakland. It worked, he now has Tom Brady.

Like the WWE, I've lost interest in the NFL. The deaths of Eddie Guerrero, Mike Webster and Junior Seau put the chill in it for me. I still attend the Super Bowl and I'll sometimes follow my team the Pittsburgh Steelers but that's it.
