Inter are at the top of the table, they face Roma next.

Both will be without star players, Barella is injured and Mancini is suspended. We're going to find out how good Smalling actually is, first game without his defensive partner.

Group F is going to be a meat grinder, I don't see Germany advancing.
Famous quote: "Football is a game that is played by two teams of 11 players each, and in the end Germany wins."

I think France is going to win next year. They have the most amazing forwards in Mbappe and Griezman, both young.

Explain to me how Messi deserves the Nads of Or over Moe Salah?

Does anyone care that de Ligt won the Kopa Award for best player under 21? Of course he was going to struggle with Juve, he's not a natural stopper. Currently he should get two minutes for lookin so good. Boy am I dating myself.

The upcoming Euro could be van Dijk vs Romagnoli.

He's keeping Milan from dropping into the relegation zone and he was magisterial for the Azzurri in qualifications. It would be insane to give back his role to Chiellini once he's healthy. So the question to be asked is van Dijk ,who's four years older, as good as Romagnoli?

At the start of the season Milan opted out of the Europe League (FFP) rather than sell him. He's worth more than de Ligt and Maguire.

Financial Fair Play has benefited the blood money clubs the most, they pay the fines and move on. This is P$G's year.

Milan are in a fragile state, they had to sell Patrick Cutrone to avoid FFP penalties. He's languishing at Wolves but scored 5 goals for the Azzurrini last week. If Il Capitan gets injured, they could drop into the relegation zone. Under such a scenario, they have nothing to lose by bringing in Zlatan Kurazz.

Lazio 3 Juventus 1

Danny Gallivan says "a scintillating match".

The match was close with Juve having a slight edge in possession. Being home and cooled in the CL, I thought they'd go all out to get the 3 points. Then Cuadrado pulls an ERRORACHIO of epic proportion. All he had to do was kick the ball to the touchline, instead he tackles Lazzarri, Juve reduced to 10 men. It's now a three team race as Inter were held by Roma at San Siro. Spectacular double save by Szczesny on Immobile. Great match.

Better highlights.

Excellent heel flick goal! Filippo is that Kevin Kline's wife Phoebe Cates in her younger days? Talk about a model wife, she put her own career aside to support his. Maybe his persona in A Wish Called Wanda is partially correct, he truly is a Latin Lover.

Inter Milan probably will not qualify for the knockout stage. They have the same points as Dortmund and a better goal differential but they play Barcelona on Tues without Barella and Sensi. As of yet they don't have the depth to deal with vital injuries, their transition game is much slower without them.

That tie in Belgium has proven costly, Liverpool win the group even though Napoli has a better goal differential.

Then Ancelotti got sacked. Everton and Arsenal are already after him
The worst move since Les Habitants traded PK Subban. They released a proven CL winner for someone who failed at Ac Milan. If he takes the Arsenal job - and the board supports him, he can turn them around quickly. Everton can't be discounted, they have a new stadium on the way, but Duncan Ferguson deserves his chance. Neville Southall is in my top 3 of the best goaltenders I've seen in my lifetime. He is football's version of Patrick Roy.

Inter's Achilles Heel has been exposed, they don't have enough depth to challenge the big boys. Without Barella and Sensi they look pedestrian. Fati and Esposito are potential superstars, Fati won the first round. Dortmund progresses to the knockout phase.

Shaktar 0 Atalanta 3

Imagine that, Inter out, Atalanta advance. To add salt to the wound, Atalanta are playing their home games at the San Siro. The clubs were evenly matched except for the drastic quality in goaltending, Gollini made the saves when needed. In English, Atalanta translates to "land of milk and honey" - forza Bergamasci! McNasty are De Roon and Hateboer playing for the Oranje?

Some celebratory music.

Do Juve stand a chance of winning the CL?

Currently P$G and Barcelona are the favorites. Juve breezed through their final game at Leverkusen winning 2 - 0. The played The Trident (CR7, Dybala,Higuain) for part of the game while fielding their B squad. Using that format they scored three times against Udinese in the first half. Dybala is in form while Ramsey seems brittle, he's injured again. The most impressive player was Demiral, he's earned a start with his play in the CL. The commentators say he plays like a traditional Italian defender - he should he's been in Serie A since he was a teenager.

Did de Ligt lose his starting spot to Demiral, or was he just given a rest??

de Ligt just subbed in for Bonucci, finally he gets to play his natural position. They are the future.

Juve paid $85 million for the Dutchman, Demiral is a steal at $16 million.

McNasty, here's a Dutchman I'm very fond of, tough as nails...not prone to red cards like Nigel de Jong.
