I don't think Don likes Mourinho much...
Haha....nope. He hates Real Madrid as well, and so do I.

Holland will qualify with a draw against the Irish next month :thumb:

How about Martinelli !!?
I take these assertions of Brazilian football players with a grain of salt. Paquetta was supposed to be in that elite company, it hasn't worked for AC Milan. As expected Martinelli is from Sao Paolo, a city with the largest Italian population outside of Italy. Sao Paolo exported their favorite food to a starving Italy at the end of WW II: mortadella.

Another Canadian (he has dual passports) Bryan Cristante also got the call for Italy. The Azzurri went through qualifications undefeated with clean sheets throughout. Roberto Mancini is getting the job done.

I was hoping, in vain, that he would play for Canada.

UK soccer team Haringey Borough abandons game after racial abuse: 'Horrendous afternoon'

A professional soccer team in England walked off the field on Saturday after two players were reportedly victims of racial abuse from opposing fans.

The players for Haringey Borough left the pitch in the 64th minute of their FA Cup qualifying match against Yeovil Town after Cameroonian goalkeeper Valery Pajetat and defender Coby Rowe were targeted by opposition fans.
The team called it a "horrendous afternoon."
"There was no way I could let him [Rowe] continue," Haringey manager Tom Loizou told BBC Radio 5 Live.
According to reports, Yeovil fans hurled racial abuse at Pajetat after their team took a 1-0 lead from a penalty kick.

“The abuse a few of my players got was disgusting,” Loizou said. “Yeovil’s players and manager were [a] different class. Their team tried to calm their supporters down, they tried their best and they supported us -- they said, 'If you’re walking off, we’re walking off with you.'"
"I took the decision to take my team off, and I don’t want Yeovil Town to get punished for it. If we get thrown out of the FA Cup and they go through, there [are] no hard feelings there," he added.
The London-based club later tweeted that "99.9%" of the opposing team's fans were also disgusted by the abuse.

"There is absolutely no place for racism in football," the Haringey club tweeted Saturday.

You cannot combat racism without tackling inequality within European society, something beyond UEFA's control. Raheem Sterling recently spoke out.

2020 could be the year of the blood money Champions League winner. Mauro Icardi is a horrible human being but Inter may regret selling him. He's a proven finisher, partnered with the mercenary Neymar that may be too much for any defense to stop. A Qatar owned team winning the CL will legitimize the tiny nations bid to host the WC - even though Sepp Blatter made out like a thief. At the moment I don't see any other club beating PSG.

This will also be good for al - Jazeera in their fight for football broadcasts with Mediaset. Pier Silvio Berlusconi is countering by having the Coppa Libertadoers Final played in Europe. It will be held at the Bernebau on Dec 9. Daniel De Rossi will be playing for Boca Juniors against River Plate.

The Germany vs Italy Charity match has been taken down, that sucks. There was another Charity Match...and the Agnellis both played!

I didn't know who Bob Sinclair is, he's a record producer married to John Elkann's sister Ingrid. Oscar Ruggieri is the Argentine defender who ran interference to eliminate the Azzurri from getting to the 1990 WC Final.

I didn't think Conte would throw Inter's blue chip prospect into the fire against Dortmund.

Inter have been grooming Seba Esposito since he was 12, he's 17 now and didn't look out of place.

Watched Lecce v Juventus. Ronaldo was not even on the bench. Juventus really seemed to struggle without him. But I find this Serie A to be far slower for pace as compared to the English Premier Division. No wonder when players excel in Serie A or other European Leagues, and when transferred to the English clubs, it takes these players a very long time to start making their mark in this league. I also find that the video quality in Serie A games are inferior to the English Premier Division games that are broadcast on DAZN. Just my observation.

To clarify for people with short memories, there is only one Ronaldo, the Portugesh is CR7 and he's on load management.

I agree with you on the quality of broadcast but not on the superiority of the EPL, they just start sooner. Southampton could have used Gabbiadini on the weekend and Mo Salah hasn't been warming the bench either.

Mancini > de Ligt

I don't entirely agree with it but that's what is being said in the Italian Press. Luca Mancini was raised in Italian football, he has the advantage and he's three years older. Roma got a Pastrnak for him paying Atalanta $34 million. Roma have also told ManU that they want to make the loan deal for Chris Smalling permanent, he is better than Fazio. The price tag has gone up, he's playing well for Roma but with Mancini alongside him, he just has to play his game.

Atalanta are having a brutal time in the CL without him.
