Imagine being such a retard that any kind gesture is automatically considered oppression.
Hmm...the tweeters name spelled backwards is snowflake...Thus must be one of them thar fake peeple tweets....Imagine being such a retard that any kind gesture is automatically considered oppression.
I like to say a preemptive "you're welcome" when people don't say thank you when I hold the door for them.Chivalry is dead. Women killed it. Don't remember who said it.
Likewise, I held the door open for two women entering a mall and they breezed by me without any acknowledgement. I said, as they walked past me "pardon me?" The mother said." I didn't say anything." I said. "Oh I thought you said thank you". She screamed "I AM TALKING TO MY DAUGHTER"
True...there are lots of fake accounts that play into ginned up fears of a variety of groups. The Russians ran a whole campaign allegedly of African Americans who were so sick of Hilary Clinton...and again, given the original tweeters name is "snowflake" spelled backwards i'm betting that is one of them. The NY Times had an article today about armies of online trolls pretending to be "the other side" and then play into various peoples fears. Like if pretended i was an african american and said if i dont get reparations im going to start robbing as many white people as i can find, or say i'm thinking of running for office as a democrat and the first thing is i'll do is confiscate all the guns...etc.Agreed. I hold the door open for anyone and many people hold a door open for me. I always say "thank you" and almost always receive a "thank you." I've heard stories about supposedly radical feminists getting angry about it (like the tweet referenced in the OP) but I sometimes wonder if that's urban legend intended to make feminists look bad because I've never experienced it or witnessed it. Sure there are people who aren't polite and don't say "thank you" or don't seem to care that you've done it, but I've never experienced the angry "I don't need a man to hold a door open for me" comment, or anything similar.
