[FONT=&quot]Insp. Graham Pitkethley said a gunman fired a number of shots into the van, injuring Mckinnon. Buckley managed to escape and run away, and she called police.

New Zealand spent close to $200 million dollars on a gun buy back.

OMG. I get it criminals didn’t turn in their guns; so by doing so they became criminals oh wait they were already criminals.

HMMM maybe gun control doesn’t work when it comes to criminals.

No one ever suggested it did. If you can find a such a quote from someone worth arguing over, we can have at that silliness, if you want.

However controlling and regulating guns does make them less likely to be used in domestic assaults, suicides and and violent mental breakdowns, as well as making them significantly more difficult for 'beginner' criminals to acquire and use.

I, for one, think that a gun to the head is a decent way for a MAN to go, if circumstances demand it. As for the rest- criminals will find the way to get the guns. Or as one talking head said: punishing the law abiding gun owners is like kicking your cat to punish your crapping dog.

Regulations only help criminals.
Actually regulations and laws define criminals. Erase them all, and there would be no criminals anywhere. If you're not prepared to deal with crime that way, then shut up and do the hard work of getting better laws and regulations.

Or you can leave it to the usual bozos that sit in White Hoses and Parliaments and nothing will change. But you'd still do better by shutting up about stuff we need and you won't fix.

Australians seem to have the worse luck when they are in other countries. The mosque shooter is Australian, the woman shot by Minneapolis police was Australian, one of the Canadian teen killers' victims was Australian and now this.

Sad and so similar to the recent murder of the young couple in B.C.
