If you google the London place online sting and Edmonton separately you will get several different news articles. Depending on the article and when they were written the numbers are slightly different. But all stings were conducted after the new law change.

A quick google search let me found over 20 accusations in the city of London after police sting. Also, I legit just learned about the bill C-36 which makes it criminal to purchase sexual services. What a clown world we live in.
I remember there were a couple of names released by the police and one of the guys was an 18 y/o.

So in a official sting, do the cops set up any girl? I would imagine they would use a underage girl in the ad. Have her be a 17 or 16 year old to lure guys in. Then the cops would have a solid case against you.
If they can use any girl over 18, and put up a realistic ad, then we are all screwed! It's unfair to us guys. She could provide you with proof of pics. She could give you a seemingly legit website, and making a fake twitter isn't so hard. So if the cops can do all this, we are fucked! I suspect it's really unlikely the cops would waste thier time on doing something like this. The city needs them for far more important calls.

In Canada 16 is the legal age of consent. The USA is 18. So a 17 year old is of legal age of consent. They would need to bring in a 14 year old to set you up for sex with a minor and they wouldn't bring in an actual 14 year old they would just answer the ad like they were a minor and wait for you to come to them.

18 IS the legal ADULT age.
You can't, as an adult, have sex with someone under 18 unless it is in a relation and make sure her parents are aware because you could even get in trouble if they are not.
Because they could argue that you had a "power" relation with her.
The age of consent is for like teens between them self(you don't want to put a 17 in jail for having sex with his girlfriend of 16 or 17...).

The age of consent for this industry is 18. Please don’t post false info regarding that. 16, 17s can consent as long as they aren’t being paid and their partner is not 5+ years older than them.
And they don’t actually need to hire an underage decoy. As long as the decoy says they’re underage (as in under 18), you’ll be in trouble just the same.
I would love something that is clear in so much that providers can offer their services in an environment they feel safe while those susceptible to human trafficking are protected.

It has always a complete mystery to me why the government thinks it's any of their business who people have sex with or why. It's incredible to me that we tolerate this intrusion into our personal lives. People freak if their identity is stolen by Facebook but we have laws that the police can use to bully johns into submission just because they want to get laid. WTF is wrong with us?
This sting in London threw me off big time. Really? They would criminally charge 78 years old for wanting some love reminding them of the good times? All this when there is shooting every day with and illegal firearm and fentanyl deaths and all that shit? Wtf is wrong with this country we let some old corrupted old farts to make the laws that are proven to not work and pushes the prostitution more into the shadows? Fuck this I'm pretty sure there are a bunch of policeman that get their hobby love on the side as well. It's 9nly human. And I think 99% of us would recognize human trafficking or underage girls and would have that anonymous call to the crime stoppers.
This here is the bottom line... if you are told that the girl is underage (advertised as under 18) and you show up for the date, you will be arrested. Doesn't matter if the decoy was 21, still will be charged for solicitation of a minor
Basically, it comes down to minors. I think that is a fair and honorable rule of law.
