The police, understandably, are not revealing much details other than the family comprised of a father, mother and 4 children. Apparently, the male suspect committed suicide by jumping from an overpass. Very sad.

In another instance, Paolo Caputo was shot to death outside his restaurant.

Bad day in the GTA, at least 3 murders and 1 suicide.

The Caputo murder has all the hallmark of a professional mob hit. 4 shots were fired and all 4 hit the victim mid-section. No innocent bystanders hurt. Similar to the hit at the Sicilian ice cream place a few years ago.

What kind of professional leaves the murder weapon lying at the scene. It also sounds like you've never heard of the Louise Russo case.

Judging from your comments I don't think you are originally from Toronto or the GTA. A lot of the stuff you say is completely untrue, especially when it comes certain you communities.

It pissed me they did it in Roncesvalles, I live nearby and I dine there from time to time

Professional hitman or not, Toronto police is the most incompetent in catching mafia thugs, the guy most likely already left the country

Micheal Corleone that's who.......Geez the kids these days.
American mafia is a joke compared to the Canadians, no wonder. We don't even know if this was a mafia hit, I highly doubt the victim was part of any organized crime group.

"Both times, the killers drop their guns at the scene of the crime. As Clemenza says in The Godfather, “Leave the gun, take the cannoli.” ... Only a criminal who is completely confident that his gun can't be traced would abandon the weapon."

The lucrative Toronto market is at the center of a turf war between La Cosa Nostra (Sicilian) and the Ndrangheta (Calabrian) outfits. I'm surprised that the hit occurred in Roncesvalles, it's not a hot spot.

North Jersey makes the best canolis in all of North America, guns are a dime a dozen.
