    I agree.
I like him, he's smart, articulate, quick on his feet, and I get the impression he's generally a nice guy.
He can be very aggressive in a debate, while remaining respectful at the same time.
He must have been having a bad day is all.

    Don't waste your time.
If Trump were to eat his own children on live TV, she would have an excuse for him.

As a film fan, and I’m not voicing an original opinion here, I think Cazale has the greatest cinema career of all time. Only 5 movies, and they are all brilliant classics: Godfather, Godfather 2, Deer Hunter, Conversation and Dog Day Afternoon.

As compelling a guy as I've ever watched.
Here's a great documentary, in parts.

Of course, GOAT is subjective in any conversation pertaining to the arts and sports. You must have noticed the connectivity of Robert DeNiro and Al Pacino to the films on that list.

Incidentally, I watched The Conversation the other day. I found it a bit of a snoozer. I don't think the suspense holds up today and the pacing is a bit slow. Perhaps today's technology makes us jaded to the surveillance technology of 1974. That's just my opinion.

    Yes, you're correct.

It was just simply to correct an untruth.

Ironically, many on the left know hypocrisy too well.
Nothing Trump ever does is good enough, while nothing done against his supporters like Smollett, the covington kids, or in this case Cuomo had 'nothing to it'.

If you would read my posts, not hand pick the positive stories, you would know full well I don't consider Trump the next messiah.
I am against somethings Trump stands for, and on more than one occasion taken exception to his tweets, behavior, or a policy.

Just that he had openly apologized for for something.

The tape was obviously him, he was just playing on having a foggy memory to case doubt.

    You could have fooled me.
Not saying you've never criticized him although I don't ever remember, but you will defend the indefensible
to absurd lengths that goes beyond simple bias.

As far hypocrites on the left that will not give Trump any credit and criticize everything, I'll speak from own personal experience.
With Trump zealots, there is NO middle ground, zero.
They will expect you to acknowledge the smallest positive attribute, achievement, the smallest defect in his detractors,
while at the same time defend every single negative aspect of his character and behavior and politics, no matter how obscene.
And attack the slightest negative aspect of anyone on the other side.
That's what I've experienced with Trump supporters.

It goes beyond simple criticism, believe me.
When Trump was only a candidate, and debating against Hillary, I openly said those debates were killing him. She was composed, and polite, while he would interrupt and it was cringe worthy. She outclassed him totally.
I've chimed in many times when he was all too quick to the tweets like the when he shared videos of Muslim violence. Almost always my anger towards him comes at the hands of that stupid twitter account.

Perfect example is the ongoing feud with Scaramucci now. I read a bit, and though FFS someone take away his phone...lol

That's very fair, and you are speaking as a private citizen. The bias I refer to is more based on mainstream media coverage.

Back to topic... this is just never ending for Cuomo now.

Apple Siri corrects 'Chris Cuomo' to 'Fredo Cuomo' after viral video

Any Apple iPhone user who attempted to obtain details about CNN host Chris Cuomo from Siri received a surprising correction Tuesday.

When users used the voice feature to inquire about Cuomo's age by asking "Siri, how old is Chris Cuomo?" The Apple virtual assistant responded on Tuesday, "Fredo Cuomo is 49 years old." Siri is said to source information from Google to provide answers to voice questions.

It is not yet clear how the change was made or who is responsible for the edit. Cuomo, the younger brother of New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, condemned being called "Fredo" after a weekend altercation in which a Trump supporter called him the name.

LOL. I misunderstood what you were saying. But isn't the truth that he reluctantly apologized and then effectively withdrew it or at the least watered it down?

And all 5 nominated for Academy Award best picture.

He was only 42, and sadly we didn't get to see more of him. Brilliant actor.

Yes, Trump's an asshole and says totally stupid and inappropriate things.

Specific to that tape, that was an obvious liberal media hit job. It could have been released during the primaries long before the last month of the general election. That's why many people think they are being manipulated by the media.

Yes, the zealots are ridiculous. I have my policy issues with Trump, but have been around long enough to know you never get a politician who shares your view perfectly. He is the far from perfect vessel for conservative's frustrations with liberal institutions such as the media and academia.

Since you seem to be having a reasonable discussion here, I will add that I found the liberal media aggrandized President Obama. It was hard to get information and objective criticism of Obama's policies and administration. In a similar vein to Trump supporters, if you shared most of Obama's views (or thought you did) this never bothered you. I certainly do think Fox News critiqued Obama to death.

I was very critical of Obama. I like him very much personally, but he failed to deliver on so many counts.
As messy as Obamacare is, at the very least he got the ball rolling, the issue is seriously on the table now.
He's the other side of the same coin though, people transitioned from Bush into his administration, policy, etc.
When you're taking that kind of pac/corporate money, the mandate comes from above not from below.

I've never been resentful of any president or supporters. I get how it works.
Trump is something totally different. No point getting into it again.
I admire some of his qualities, it's hard not to.
Doesn't mean he's fit to govern, or should get a pass on everything he does.

Loves to call Trump thin skinned yet goes apeshit over "fredo".

If you didn't know who this guy was you would think after seeing the video he's a leg breaker for the gambinos.

After watching that Chris Cuomo video I’m a fan for life

After watching that Chris Cuomo video I’m a fan for life

The headline on a People story Tuesday morning says much about the culture we now inhabit: “Chris Cuomo Recorded Profanely Defending Himself After Man Calls Him ‘Fredo’ While He’s Out with His Family.”

I don’t know why I find this story so hilarious — and gratifying. But, honestly, you have to watch this video in its full and unbleeped glory.

In his confrontation with a stranger who insulted him, Chris Cuomo demonstrated the kind of heart and grit the media needs, now more than ever, writes Vinay Menon.

So here’s what happened. Cuomo, the achingly fair CNN anchor my wife claims is “superhot,” was out with his brood this weekend when a stranger called him “Fredo.” Big mistake. How the heated exchange started, I can’t be sure. I actually don’t care. All I know is Cuomo absolutely loses it and now I’m a fan for life.

If this guy ever needs a kidney, my internal organs are here for him to harvest.

“Punk-ass bitches from the right call me ‘Fredo,’” Cuomo says in the standoff video, which went viral this week. “My name is Chris Cuomo. I’m an anchor on CNN. Fredo is from The Godfather. He was a weak brother. And they use it as an Italian aspersion.”

Then he asks his antagonists, “Any of you Italian? Are you Italian? It’s a f--king insult to your people. It’s an insult to your f- -king people. It’s like the N-word for us. So is that a cool f--king thing?”

OK, so I had no clue “Fredo” — a fictional character in a mafioso classic — was the equivalent of the N-word. That seems like a bit of a stretch. But if that’s how Cuomo feels, fair enough. I’m not here to argue, especially since I don’t want to get punched in the mouth. Because how Cuomo clearly feels in the next few seconds of this video is magnificently, brilliantly and dangerously enraged.

He tells the bloated fool who called him “Fredo” he will “f--king ruin your sh-.” He threatens to throw him down a flight of stairs “like a f--king punk.” CNN should seriously consider giving Cuomo an uncensored podcast in which he rants at enemies and his catchphrase is tweaked from “Let’s get after it” to “Let’s f--k up this punk-ass bitch and throw him down a well.”

This is a take-no-guff Chris Cuomo the world should wholeheartedly endorse.

For the last few years, the mainstream media has been under relentless attack from far right yahoos and fame-craving nitwits, inspired by Donald Trump, who are among the most laughably dishonest and hypocritical life forms in the galaxy. To these rabble-rousers, CNN and most of the so-called “lame-stream media” is “fake news.” So when one of them spotted Cuomo and instigated a conflict CNN rightly called “orchestrated,” the expectation was that Cuomo would have his reputation and career destroyed by a “gotcha” moment that blows up on social media.

But the master plan backfired spectacularly.

Cuomo comes off not as an unhinged lunatic, but as a righteous soul who has had it up to here with the name-calling and assaults on his good name and, by extension, his profession. Garbed in a T-shirt and ball cap, he looks ready to rumble and in no mood for any garbage. He is not playing around. On the CNN airwaves, Cuomo is a model of thoughtful restraint. In this viral video, he is transformed into a would-be assassin who is itching to smack any and all trolls into next week.

And this fighting stance is both inspirational and long overdue.

It’s high time the media stood up for itself, as individuals and as a collective. And here I must do something I’ve never done before, which is give a shout-out to Fox’s Sean Hannity, Cuomo’s time-slot competitor. Hannity never misses a chance to bash CNN. But in response to the video, he broke ranks with the conservatives mocking Cuomo and accurately nailed the situation with one tweet: “I say good for @ChrisCuomo. He’s out with his 9 year old daughter, and his wife, and this guy is being a jackass in front of his family. Imho Chris Cuomo has zero to apologize for. He deserves the apology.”

Exactly. The jackass who started this by calling Cuomo “Fredo,” if I had to guess, fancies himself a culture warrior who is taking a bayonet to liberals. But he’s really just one of life’s losers. He started a quarrel he was too cowardly to finish. He blinked when Cuomo ramped up the industrial-grade trash talk. The most hilarious part of this video comes at the very end when this jackass attempts to trot out the gotcha line he probably practised in the shower, “You’re in for it!”

But at that moment, Cuomo doesn’t look concerned. He just looks ready to brawl.

And I tip my hat to the CNN anchor.

While off-duty, while out with his family and minding his own business, he demonstrated the kind of heart and grit the media needs, now more than ever.

A random jackass tried to commence hostilities with Chris Cuomo this week.

But Chris Cuomo was ready to get after it.

Hell Yeah! Cuomo shoulda grabbed that little punk and fucked him up!
