Actually several years ago my dog was approaching the end of his life due to old age, and had been refusing food and even water for 3 days. There have been tiny chunks of onion in their regular hamburger patties for years. Can't speak to the other patties but it's quite obvious there's onion in the hamburgers. You can taste it, smell it, and feel it.Interesting if true. But are you referring to their new "caramelized onions to be added while the meat is cooking" policy just announced last week, to be tested in Australia and Canada only?
Cuz I've noticed the flavour change for at least the past month or so. Prior to that their beef tasted similar to competition, with no onion overtones, though of course generally not as good as the more upscale burger specialists.

All the stuff at grocery stores are sweet pickly. Been looking forever for that kind of pickle.
