Butler: Serious question- Why do you think so many Dems hate Bernie with such a fierce passion? They hate Bernie more than trump.

I’ve been on Twitter and gotten into arguments with people whose Twitter accounts are devoted to nothing but bashing Bernie...and these are Dems. I’ve argued with them and gotten blocked for my trouble.

One young woman blocked me for arguing with her that Hillary was not the leader of the Dem party after losing to trump...LOL! These people are a bit nuts imho...but there are quite a few of them and they sure hate Bernie.

No fuckin way!

I agree many Dems do not like Bernie to the point they railroaded him out of the 2016 nomination. And there are some indicators that will happen in 2020 as well.

Trump is the numero uno trigger point for almost all Dems. Trump could cure cancer, unite the world in peace and find a way to get to Mars in a few days and the Dems would fight him on every point. Trump is eminently unlikable- and yes as a person I do not like him, never have. I simply appreciate what he is doing for the country. And I backed him in 2016 because HRC scared the living crap out of me.... lesser of two evils which is sadly the option in way too many elections around the world. But Bernie is still #2 on the liberal hit list as long as DT is around.

You actually think polls matter at this point?

I look at #1 overall in fundraising, 99.3% of it donation under 200 bucks. 2 million donaters,. 1 million volunteers.

That's power.

Go look at the recent Washington Post interview he just did. Went into another lion's den and hit it out if the park.

Biden is toast. The next debate Biden has Harris in one side of him and Booker on the other. With other candidates looking to score points on him as well. He will get killed.

Meanwhile the first night has Warren and Sanders side by side who won't go after eachother......yet, and will tag team against the minnow moderates M4A and the rest of it.

He, Warren, Harris will be the choices after the Third Debates in September.
Your right on polls, don’t mean much.

2m donors is impressive, where did you get that number?

Because he represents a real revision in getting rid of corporate money and influence.

And that means all the staffers and campaign workers Lose the inside track on cushy corporate lobbying positions. Because they either won't exist or they won't be eligible.

They hate him because they play the same game as the GOP. He is an threat to a cushy patronage system of corruption.

That's why they hate him. Ask these people what they do for a living. Bets many are political insiders.

Some different feeds I have have reported this as official stats given out from the elections watchdogs.

It may be a round up but I believe it is accurate. I see comments from people who are giving 3bucks, 20 bucks, can't wait until payday to give again, signed up for twenty monthly. One guy gave up his fast food Friday to give to Sanders.

It's these tiny stories of tiny people who each represent a signed up primary vote. Sanders missed out on alot of votes due to his late start. They are signed up this time and ready to go. That's the importance of the 1 million volunteers. They are registering voters. Motivating voters.

Yup. That's why it's so important he takes it in the first ballot before the Superdelegates get involved.

It's going to get ugly. I expect cheating to occur.

Like Putin hacking the dems on behalf of Trump?
So funny, you can't have a conversation without Trump.

Actually I was referring to what happened in Nevada as an example.

And they are apparently futzing about with the caucuses in Iowa.

We shall see.

It’s an interesting question. I wonder how much the Dems do to ensure the integrity of their own nomination process. Fuck all, I suspect.

Judging from last time it's internal. Unfortunately.

Wasserman-Shultz is a cheat. Look up her antics in Florida politics sometime.

But this time people are on to them. And watching.

Butler: This is a poll from Twitter done amongst Dems. It asks whether they will vote for Bernie if he gets the Dem nomination:
Yes: 90%
No: 10%

That No number seems high to me...and if you read the comments even the Yes voters say they’d hold their nose and vote for Bernie if they had to...but clearly Bernie does not get a lot of love amongst hardcore Dems. They say he’s not really a Dem and that his followers will not vote for any Dem nominee except him.

Some guy also claims he has crazy hair, an abrasive personality, and looks like he is always shouting...which is kinda true...LOL.

And amongst the independents? The ones who haven't voted because they didn't like the choices?

That's how you win an election. That's how Obama won. That's how Reagan won. How JFK won.

It's his policies that will win. M4A primarily, taking on the corporate structure, the M/I C.

As I said above. Look at his Donation numbers. Look at his lack of Baggage. His consistancy in his voting, his positions, and above all else his trustworthiness.

People believe him. That will count for alot. I believe him.

I’m more a fan of facts vs anecdotes, do you have a link.

I think you have a skewed view of the independent voter. Employed, actually pays taxes.

The yellow dog Democrats will vote for anyone who gets the nomination - turnout is the only issue there.

Any of the far left candidates will spook the independents, they know they will get the bill for all the free shit being proposed.
