Anyone who says they wish leonard all the best is lying. If they are in the conference finals against the Lakers, there should be a laker park set up where Jurassic park is, nobody is cheering for the clippers.

I'll cheer for the Clippers. Kawhi was my favorite player before he came to Toronto.

Aside from Lowry and Gasol, I don't think anyone else is in their 30s. Well, Ibaka is about 29 I think.
I believe Ibaka’s deal ends after this year too. And we have also lost Danny Green.

We still have a decent team in the mean time but we are not going to make it out of the first round of the playoffs if the Raptors cannot bring in another franchise player. Expecting Kyle and Pascal to carry the team seems like a big ask to me.

I'm happy this story is over, media was breaking balls all day with it. Not his fault, but every day in and out you had to hear about it.
Me too. Sports is totally out of hand in terms of how these people are treated and viewed. They're viewed as "heroes". Terry Fox and every single Canadian that fought this country in wars are way more important to me.

Good for him. He delivered the ultimate prize here, nothing more we can ask for.

He's going to try to make the Clippers relevant which will be a challenge in the LA market but it will be interesting to watch from a far.

And the Clippers really sacrificed the future on this....All those unprotected picks.....And OKC was savvy with the way the picks are structured: Miami's picks in the next few years because they'll suck, and LA's picks in the latter years when Kawhi & PG will either be gone or lesser players. And the pick swaps in the intervening years....Wow.

You are probably right about the draft picks. The Clippers are already a young team and probably won’t need the picks anyway.

Toronto, on the other hand, have Lowry and Gasol coming to the end of their contracts next year...and both are getting older too. The Raps could be looking at a full re-build next year and may need their picks.
Raps will have cap space to sign two match free agents next year plus we have our all our picks. The clippers are going to be right tight to the cap and won’t be able to sign anyone other than the mle (like 9 million) and they have no picks. For the clippers to acquire more talent they will need to make trades. With no future first round picks that will be hard.

Not sure how that will benefit as they will most likely be low picks?

1. Did ujuri like being told by Leonard who he wanted to play with? Leonard was basically overhauling the Raptors to his liking from the looks of it?

2. Who the hell would want Russell Westbrook and his attitude?

3. Ujuri is positioning himself as a goodwill ambassador, does he want to be known as a ruthless gunslinger who will sell anybody. I think siakom is his pride and joy, and untouchable imo.

OKC was asking for Pascal, FVV, possibly Ibaka and multiple 1st round picks for PG and Westbrook. No confirmation as to whether Kawhi would stay with Raps if we got PG. OKC was just using Raptors as leverage to get squeeze more out of Clippers in trade for PG. OKC knew Clips were desperate to get Kawhi so he wouldn't join Lakers. OKC played a masterful hand.

No way Masai wanted Westbrook's ego.
