Clippers also acquire Paul George.

Hearts broken but thanks for the memories. Kawhi will be cemented as a Toronto Sports legend.

Anyone who doesn't hope he gets injured next year is lying, and is consistently injured for the rest of his career. The cunt was playing the Raptors while telling the clippers to get another star to play with him.

The Clippers mortgaged their future to acquire Paul George and he's brittle. Still he got us a Championship, let's not be bitter.

Pure selfish jerk by betraying the unconditional love of a great city and a greater country.

Tell me exactly how he betrayed us??? Those are the rules. After so many seasons you've earned the right to become a free agent. He wanted to go home and play.

This is true. For sure that's what was taking so long, but you can't blame him for wanting to go home. If I was a sports superstar, and had the opportunity to make the same money to play in Toronto I would do it, and I would get my ass booed off by some American city.

He wasn't even that good near the end of the finals, a lot of turnovers. Lebron is gonna be jacked this year. Who the fuck would pay q-tip Danny green 15 mil, good riddance.

Yeah but now you have to blow it up and start all over in a market that's at it's peak right now. The only way Toronto can ever get a Superstar is through the draft.

sorry to see Kawhi go but when he was traded here most knew there was a good chance it was for one year. He wanted to play in L.A. and now he has his wish, good luck to him. He brought us a championship and a year of exciting basketball. So out with the old and on with the new!

Yeah exactly. It wouldn't bother me so much if it wasn't for the fact we're a city known for non being able to retain it's stars. Anyway, we got our championship and the Toronto sports drought is over, so we can hold our heads high and hope we get another one soon one day. One thing that sucks is when they lower the banner next year, it's feels like something will be missing since we have no shot to repeat. Lowry and Gasol going to have make a bitter sweet celebration seem fun.

Obviously you and I look at life, values, principles, loyalty differently.
I bet you’re a Trumpian.
That was a great explanation of how he "betrayed" us. Your real sharp aren't you? :encouragement: You got " we look at life, values and principles differently" as well as I'm a "Trumpian" from that??? Your a special kind of special.

I'm not political at all BTW, especially when it comes to a country I don't live in, so I could give a fuck about Trump.

He also got lucky in that they barely beat a severely depleted warriors team.

Not surprised. Americans will always see Canada as a backwater.

The big question now is how can they best fill that space.

There was never any question this team was not as talented or deep as the typical dynasty teams that run the NBA with big 3 stars and good supporting cast. So yes we got a bit lucky Durrant was hurt as well as Thompson. The issue is sustaining the momentum the club had via showing they can keep a superstar, and adding pieces to it. Bringing the club to a place it's never been before which is a destination spot, and we have once again failed to do that.

I think we all knew he wasn't returning and he knew it all along too. Raptors probably sent the plane for him and he couldn't reject it. Queue shack with the dave Stewart and Winfield signings of 25 years ago. The Raptors will have a grudge and try to show it wasn't all leanard, how much more improvement will siakom show?

They are in a difficult position because they are good enough not to get high picks and will never land big time free agents.

Yeah, I think you still have to blow it up. The middle just isn't a good place to be.

Tavares reaches free agency and signs with his home town team, and he’s a hero. kL reaches free agency and chooses LA and he’s a jerk? Right? I got it now.

Kawhi got us a title, he's no jerk. We won't repeat but we wont be stiffs either, OG played well while Kawhi was on load management.

So I was wrong. I thought that Fun Guy's wife/gf was his Colleen Howe, obviously that's not true, he would have stayed otherwise.
