Jonas Kaufmann has conquered Italy. Fickle Italian opera tifosi want natural, not artifice. When Kaufmann did his Italian Folk songs recital, he didn't try to hide his German accent - it worked for him.

I've already posted Jonas's version. The bridge section is actually tougher on Italians than the sharper diction of German.
