Tomorrow will be Bobcat's last show. After signing a new contract recently the fan590/Rogers has decided lay him off and part ways. Widely regarded as one of the guys responsible for building sports talk radio in Canada.
Bob is arrogant in a completely different way and it's to his audience and friends/panel members. Zaun was being a male chauvinist. The few times I listened to him I found him rude and arrogant. Maybe he was fired because he was rude and arrogant. Or, maybe he pissed off the ladies.
Wasn't Greg Zaun also fired because he was rude and arrogant?
Yeah I thought the same thing but depends on how much they're willing to pay. He had planned on retiring at the end of his current contract. He may do something like a podcast, or depending why he was laid off, be a regular guest. I think he did something to piss someone off because they're going to have to pay out his contract regardless so it wouldn't make sense to just lay him off for financial reasons.Don't be surprised if TSN 1050 signs Bob over the coming months
For sure that is his shtick/persona. IMO, he does a pretty good job of it.The few times I listened to him I found him rude and arrogant.
What I liked is that we got a whole half hour dedicated to sports instead the regular 5-7 minutes towards the end of the local news broadcast.he comes across as grouchy. Jim Tatti and Mark Hebsher did sportsline. Started the duo broadcasting. Had great chemistry. Great humour. You see duos now often but they were never as good as Tatti and Hebscher
He’s a crotchety bastard, self centred big headed crank. I love his show...he’s a great interviewer with thoughtful questions. For sure that is his shtick/persona. IMO, he does a pretty good job of it.
Apparently those two hated each other off the air.he comes across as grouchy. Jim Tatti and Mark Hebsher did sportsline. Started the duo broadcasting. Had great chemistry. Great humour. You see duos now often but they were never as good as Tatti and Hebscher
He should have walked away after his last contract. Everyone has a shelf life. I found myself listening less and less to him.
Definitely not. MacArthur is still a relative novice in the industry. If they had big plans for him, he'd be hosting a daytime show and not taking calls from idiot Jays fans after a 12-1 blowout.I think scott MacArthur will replace him, maybe that's what they had planned all along when they hired him
Probably why they went solo soon after. I was shocked when the pairing ended because it was such a good thing. Hebscher when he went his own way just wasn't the same. Quite bland actually.Apparently those two hated each other off the air.
