That's the problem. The Chinese are going to fuck up business. The Brits were very good at fostering business in HK and letting the locals do their thing.

As far as geopolitics, this helps paint a very clear picture for Taiwan and the rest of the world. The Chinese Communist Party would probably like nothing more than to go all Tiananmen on those HK protesters. They are probably being advised that Western business would surely pack up.

Why? I'm sure they could butcher half of Hong Kong's population and convince their people it is propaganda like they have with Tiananmen.

Sadly China knows they have what we want so our threats won't do a thing. Don't hear a hint of people wanting to boycott or embargo Chinese goods.

They can massacre the city and get away with it.
They just have to make nice with Trump first.
