There was a poll in Canada that came out and showed that Canadian Muslim women who wore the hijab did it out of choice.
That's because in Canada they and their daughters have choices. They have every choice that Canadian men have.

Like everything else that humans generally do, cultural norms are never fixed, always changing. We make laws that codify the norms, to slow the process or accelerate it, but they only sorta work. And we advocate and defend some to the point of warfare, much more often than is good for anyone. But they change too, just more slowly.
That's true. The point I'm making is Western cultures shouldn't be apologetic or hesitant to espouse Western values. The Left's moral equivalency has always confused people. Why is a value and/or right critically important to an American, but not a Saudi or an Iranian?

As Mitt Romney said overseas and got flack for from liberal media, "Culture does matter."

I see no signs of Western cultures being hesitant to espouse their values; there isn't a place on the planet the West haven't reached and touched with them. That 'touch' has often been ignorant and heavy-handed enough to merit apology. Like 'values', what 'the Left' is, thinks and does depends on where you're sitting. So relative it says nothing. So that bit told me nothing. And the final question is its own answer: Because they are different people, from different backgrounds, living far apart in different societies. Much like Trump voters in Montana who think tougher immigration control is critical, and Clinton voters in Southern California who don't.

Who could argue those three words of Romney's? I doubt they were what any flack was about, and if that's relevant, it's for you to say how.

Trudeau never hesitates to get on his soapbox and lecture other countries about human rights.

On the other hand he keeps telling new Canadians that their culture is Canadian culture.
Muslims: "Jump!"
Trudeau: "How high?"

'Western values' took thousands of native children from their families and put them into the abuse of the church.
You call that 'moral'?

Western values are constantly evolving, adapting to the times and improving always. Never stuck in the 8th century.

Western values are what rational people seek and aspire to. The good people of Hong Hong have embraced Western values. Millions of people in less blessed countries risk their lives seeking admission to countries with Western values.

So how would you define those western values?

That open-minded progressiveness is just one of the reasons why so many migrants are heading for Western countries.

Several successful Asian countries have also adopted Western values in varying degrees. Hong Kong, Singapore and India due to British influence. South Korea, Japan, Taiwan due to American influence. Vietnam will be the next "Asian Tiger".

The words Asian Tiger just mean higher prices for the local escorts.
