The French Open starts this Sunday. Unless you are Rafael Nadal this is the toughest tournament to win.

He ain't winning this time. Either Novak or someone under 25.

You could be right. He's not getting younger and suffered injuries that would have retired others. If it all ends now, he still has more French titles than fingers.

Clay is not a good surface for Novak.

I don't know anyone getting younger aside from that old Dutchman who wants to legally change his age.

FAA will be seeded in the French Open. (He just lost in the Lyon and hurt his groin.)

FAA (as did Raonic earlier) withdraws from the French due to injury. Clay is not the best surface for Raonic (and maybe also FAA?).

Well we know Milos the Missile won't be winning it this year (or likely ever)

There are no Canadian men left. Bianca Adreecu(sp) and Genie Bouchard still playing in the women's draw.

Genie is out.
May be time for Genie to pick another career like Sports Illustrated swimsuit model ;)
I saw Andreescu's last set today - her serve looked really shaky and furthermore she was kinda shaking out her right arm at times. Maybe her right shoulder is still not quite right. She won't get too far if that's the case.

Genie can't do that, there is a precedent. Anna Kornikova's endorsements dried up after she quit tennis. All Genie has to do is show up.

I think Genies is fluently bilingual. She could be a media commentator. Can you imagine her doing TV commentary at the French Open in French and then Wimbledon in English. (I posted a pic of her bum in another thread.)

Speaking a language fluently and being an articulate speaker are two different things.

That may be so but I think Anna did Ok for herself (didn't she end up marrying some famous singer or something). Genie, being the social butterfly that she is, I'm sure could manage the same. And despite her early promise she doesn't seem to have much more tennis talent than Anna did.

Rafa drops a set at his open! In the third round! Mind you it was to Goffin who's no slouch. But the rest of the field just regained a smidgen of hope.

I think there is still one Canadian left --- a woman in mixed doubles.

Fed/Rafa dream match up. Of course Rafa is favored, but when asked about it Fed says, hey I came here to play him. He's the strongst player at the French, if I wanted to avoid him I would not have come. Gotta love how Fed thinks. He has the mind of a Jedi. I still think it will be an upset if he beats Rafa, but he is playing with nothing to lose. 38, Semis? WOW. He is still the man, win or lose.

Fed/Rafa dream match up.
I assume that Rafa was seeded #1 and Federer #3. Joker was seeded #2?

Rafa is younger then Fed and he owns the French so he should win but the match is played on clay and not on paper so one never knows.
