I assume that Rafa was seeded #1 and Federer #3. Joker was seeded #2?

Rafa is younger then Fed and he owns the French so he should win but the match is played on clay and not on paper so one never knows.
No Joker was Number 1.

Fed/Rafa dream match up. Of course Rafa is favored, but when asked about it Fed says, hey I came here to play him. He's the strongst player at the French, if I wanted to avoid him I would not have come. Gotta love how Fed thinks. He has the mind of a Jedi. I still think it will be an upset if he beats Rafa, but he is playing with nothing to lose. 38, Semis? WOW. He is still the man, win or lose.
I'm a big fan of Roger's game but I cringe at just the thought of him playing Rafa at the French. It's invariably a beatdown in Rafa's favor.
In order for Roger to be competitive he will have to serve out of his mind, go for a big first strike and pray to the tennis gods for mercy on his soul. And that's just to win 4 games in a set!

Still have to admire these guys for putting the work in to stay at the top for so long. Tsitsipas seems to be the one closing in on them the fastest.

Ok, I'm confused. So #2 and #3 are in the same draw?

1. Serbia Novak Djokovic
2. Spain Rafael Nadal
3. Switzerland Roger Federer
4. Austria Dominic Thiem
5. Germany Alexander Zverev
6. Greece Stefanos Tsitsipas (Fourth round)
7. Japan Kei Nishikori (Quarterfinals)
8. Argentina Juan Martín del Potro (Fourth round)
9. Italy Fabio Fognini (Fourth round)
10. Russia Karen Khachanov

Yes, same half. Quite normal.

Interesting. So, that means #1 doesn't have to worry about #2 or #3 until and if they make it to the finals.
It has been like that for as long as I can remember (at least 50 years). Nothing new.

Won't rule him out, he is playing with no expectation of beating Nadal, all the pressure is on the spanish. We have seen just how incredible Fed can play when the pressure is off. Like Australia 2017.

I hope you're right. At least hope the match is competitive. I just fear it will be another Nadal dose of high topspin to Roger's backhand which he won't be able to handle effectively, resulting in errors by Roger or easy put-aways for Rafa.

Rafa is in the finals. (I have a pic of a naked Rafa but I can't post it in the Sports Forum.)

That would go in the Reviews section. Was it outcall or incall?

Canada has a champion.

"Leylah Annie Fernandez
16-year-old becomes country's 1st-ever junior French Open champion. Leylah Annie Fernandez of Canada has won the girls singles title at the French Open. The top-seeded Fernandez beat eighth-seeded Emma Navarro of the U.S. 6-3, 6-2.10 hours ago"

Senior women champion is an Aussie. I think she is an Aussie.

Nadal wins first set (6-3). That red clay is really slow. Almost all the shot are from the baseline. Long rallies. As usual, Nadal is the aggressor. Thiem is a counterpuncher (boring).

Update 1: Nadal up 2 sets to 1.

RAFAEL NADAL IS THE CHAMPION OF FRANCE, again! Number 12.

Question: Does he have more or as many French titles as number 2 and 3 combined?

The French Open as we know it to-day dates back only to 1968. There was a tournament from 1891 to 1967 but the winner was almost always French.

Here are the top 3 winners going all the way back to 1891.

Rafael Nadal 12
Bjon Borg 6
Henri Cochet 5

BTW: I posted a pic of Rafael in the Lounge after his win to-day.
