She's saying that climate change is here and they have to do something about it by taxing carbon emissions.

I don't understand how taxing carbon [dioxide] emissions is going to prevent floods, tornadoes and global warming.

Canada produces 1.5% of the world's man-made carbon dioxide emissions. If Canada actually managed to eliminate them entirely, it would not affect global climate.

Methane is a greater greenhouse gas than CO2. But there's no talk of taxing the billions of cattle out there. I'm convinced that the Carbon tax is a gigantic tax grab, and partly redistributed in order to buy votes.
You don't have to understand. All is required of you is that you pay up without questions. Our masters have it all worked out.

baby Scheer brings nothing Sunny to the table just his "smirk". Now he sound like a loser when he states that he was "disappointed" with the tariffs being lifted, thanks to Trudeau.
Nawwwww, Canadians will wake up before the elections!!
Yeah, like they did in Ontario and out west...and down south for that matter. The blue tide has been building and spreading, either learn to ride it or get washed up on some very rocky shore my friend.

Scheer was downright rude in the manner in which he poses questions etc. in parliament. He talks nonsense about trying to tax the carbon emitters but still has not talked policies on anything. But the right wingers keep on being Climate Change deniers and they still have no political party that agrees with their warped opinions with regards to Climate Change!!
If you believe that the green-money-making machine is actually going to save the planet, then all the power to you. But how about paying for it yourself and if someone doesn't want to pay for it then they have the right not to?
How many tree-huggin' Libs would volunteer....like none.

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

Why should I be forced to fund your crusade?

So which party in Canada does not believe in Climate Change and how it is affecting planet??? Where do you get the notion that we have a system that is about "Socialism". Do you think that no parties support infrastructure spending, healthcare, education, or the military, then you are not up with reality, that this is what Canada is all about!!
If the Canadians clearly voted for a Party that promised the Carbon Tax and that is what has been legislated. What you forget to comprehend is that there were credits given to all the taxpayers to offset it. The Scheer bluffing Conns say that they will implement legislation to reduce emissions, but as usual have not spelled it out........ just idle talk, and that is all they are all about!!

Pretty much. It's not based at all on science its based on the goal of wealth redistribution. Several U.N. officials have admitted as such.

McKenna is an absolute disgrace to the office she holds. She's a social activist masquerading as a legislator. She got the ministerial role simply because she's a woman. No scientific/climate background whatsoever. Almost as bad as the social worker who was appointed to Minister of National Revenue.

And what is your scientific background that makes you qualified to judge her?

So obviously you rank her expertise on the subject as highly as yours, since you have similar cred?
I would say that I have more expertise than her on the subject, but where am I advocating that I should be Minister of Environment and Climate Change? I don't think it's a stretch to say she is not qualified for the position, being that she's a lawyer, not a scientist. Surely you must agree with that.

I think its ridiculous that you claim no more expertise yet still think your opinion is somehow more valid.

My opinion does not depend on my scientific expertise, or lack thereof. Neither McKenna, nor I, are qualified to be the Minister of Environment & Climate Change.

You mean the someone who just got the US tariffs on steel removed? LOL... tell us again about his hair!
The US Congress and lots of PAC money got the tariffs removed, Trudeau and Freeland were merely bystanders. All they had to do was promise to stop pissing off Barry Zekelman by keeping Chinese steel out of the US. Btw Zekelman was the one who pushed for and got the tariffs in the first place.....and he’s Canadian.
