I dont support Islam because I think its a fucked up religion. I hate all religions, but Islam really takes the cake.
I dont however think all muslims are evil, many are just brainwashed or misguided. It all depends where you have grown up.
If you grew up in Saudi Arabia there's a strong chance you'd become a muslim because thats all your exposed to. If you grew up in the Bible belt there's a strong chance you'd become a christian because thats all your exposed to. If you grew up in India there's a strong chance you'd become a Hindu because thats all your exposed to. Etc......etc.
You cant always hold these people responsible for their beliefs, because often they dont know any better. But that doesnt mean I have to like Islamic ideology, which clearly you can tell from my posts that I do not!
The part where we differ is you dont think we're allowed to criticize Islam ever. I think we should criticize it.
The other part where we differ is you think criticism of Islam automatically equals racism, which is a completely false narrative and only stifles healthy debate
If your posts were critical of all religions than I wouldn't have a problem with them. You say you're critical of all religions, personally I totally agree with you and think all religions are totally stupid but people should have the choice to believe in invisible people if they like, but you only ever criticize one religion.
But lets take a look at this one statement in your post:
I dont however think all muslims are evil, many are just brainwashed or misguided. It all depends where you have grown up.
That reads like you do you think all Muslims are evil, but that some are just brainwashed and/or misguided.
People are just people, most religions have good parts and bad parts and every major religion has totally kooky sects as well, like the Amish or born again Christians, very Orthodox Jews and some Muslem sects.
Where we really differ is that I criticize
government policy in Israel, which has nothing to do with race, or criticize fucked up Christians who support Trump and call for banning abortion. Same with criticism of white nationalists, who's members are conservatives but really only extreme right wing conservatives who don't tar the membership of all conservatives. I would never associate Harper with white nationalists, though the ties with Trump are quite clear.
And here you are unable to articulate or ever state clearly that you there are Muslim communities that are clearly against both anti-Semitism and Islamaphobia, while you continue to argue that either Islamaphobia is justified or its not racism because its a religion. Never do I hear you argue that Islamaphobia is bad as it tars the entire community with the crimes of a small number of extremists, the way that white nationalists/supremacists are a small community of extremists within the right wing. That means you continue to argue and post in ways that contribute to Islamaphobia and hatred while offering no solutions other than trying to ban all Muslims.
