Which one of these was more exciting for you? It's really tough but I have to go with Bautista's bat flip home run. I know Joe Carter was incredible and maybe should have been on this pole as well because it was the world series winning home run, but there was so much emotion in that game 5 and series against Texas so Bautista's HR was incredible for me.

Maybe also because I'm a bit more of a baseball guy, plus I was working so didn't get to enjoy the Kawhi's shot as much. It was on the TV where I work but I was to busy and missed it. Could just hear everyone yelling..lol.

This is Kawhi's shot and it's not even close. Game 5 versus Game 7, series winning shot at the buzzer. The only game 7 buzzer beater IN NBA HISTORY!

Joe Carter's homer is the #1 moment in Toronto sports history until further notice though. Not just a series winning play, a CHAMPIONSHIP winning play.

How bout adding 2 more:

Joe Carter's World Series winning walk off HR against the Phillies in '93

or

Lanny Mcdonald's game 7 quarter finals winning ovetrime goal against the Islanders in '78

0r Borchevsky's game 7 div series winning overtime goal against Detroit in '93

For me it's Lanny all the way!!!

I am not a big TFC fan, but Jose Altidore's goal in championship game would make the top ten. So would Edwin's bottom of the eleventh homer against Baltimore

Hopefully with my face in a pussy
Apples and oranges, I think. They are all great memories, each different in their own way. I'm old enough to remember Bobby Baun scoring a game-winning goal in the '64 playoffs while skating with a broken ankle, and that was amazing too. Kwahi's shot will be legendary without comparing it to anything else, as will many others. For some, especially the young, it will be their first great sports memory, and it's hard to beat that.

Just so we're clear, game 5 was the same thing in that series. It was a best of 5 and series tied at 2...lol.

Bill Barilko's goal. How many of these other guys had a hit song written about them?

Funny you mentioned this because I was thinking Drake might make a song about Kawhi's shot...lol. If doesn't make a whole song about it, you know he's putting into some of his songs.

Hmmm....those were both great moments, but that's nothing....I remember Joe Malone scoring 7 goals in one game for the Quebec Bulldogs in 1920, breaking Newsy Lalondes record of 6 set on month earlier. Crikey, felt like it was yesterday.

And yes, I am 109 years old. Ladies tell me I don't look a day over 100.

(LOL sorry for the semi-troll...LOL....now get off my lawn!! Turn down that Hi-Fi!!!)
(P.s. I'd vote for Kawhi on this one)....

Yeah, but nobody talks about game 5's like they do about game 7's. This was also Kawhi single-handedly lifting 18 years of grief off the shoulders of Raptor fans.

This pretty much...in a crucial game 7 where everything is on the line. where in the last few minutes of game time it seems nobody wanted the ball. Kawhi and the other greats are made for moments like this. Greatness.

Not even fucking close to “on par” with carter
A second round match up vs a championship clinching moment in history
Raptors lose next round,Kawhi leaves and this moment is forgotten by anyone not a millennial and not a raptor fan
It is a nice moment and might climb into Toronto’s top 5 if raptor win title,if they don’t then it’s nothing special.

For me, it was Kawhi, and not even close.
The only sporting moments that exceeded that level of personal excitement would be the Henderson goal in Russia 1972 (ya, I'm old) and the Ridgway FG to win the 1989 Grey Cup. (Ya, I'm a Rider fan)

I voted Leonard even though I hate basketball but it was impressive. It will pale in comparison to the excitement when Zoltar Xebulon tucks the puck into the top left corner of the net and the Maple Leafs beat out the Seattle Starbucks in Game 7 of the 2148 Stanley Cup Finals! It'll be worth the 181 year wait.
