Actually, the '72 summit series winning goal by Henderson was THE MOST emotional/exciting sports moment ever, the entire series was an emotional roller coaster.
I think the Kawhi buzzer beater and the Alomar HR off Eckersley are equally important. Hard to make a call on that. But totally agree Carter's HR is #1 by a mile and Bautista's bat flip is at the bottom.Carter #1 by a long shot because it won the championship.
Kawhi #2 because it won the series
Alomar #3 because it was off Eckersley who was considered unhittable at that time. He came in and it was game over. Alomar's shot was more impactful as it set the tone for the series and led to a championship.
Bautista #4
I'm not old enough to have seen Leafs' championship moments so the moments they have had in my lifetime haven't been as important as these.
I'll never forget that. It was so vital to the back to back World Series wins. It was the proverbial monkey off the back. Kinda like when the Leafs eventually defeat the Bruins in the playoffs (whenever that happens)Are we forgetting Robbie Alomar's HR vs Denis Eckersley in 92?
No Alomar HR against Eck, means no Joe Carter WS winning HR.I'll never forget that. It was so vital to the back to back World Series wins. It was the proverbial monkey off the back. Kinda like when the Leafs eventually defeat the Bruins in the playoffs (whenever that happens)
