A cat has 9 lives.

The idiot has only one. My bet is on the cat.

There are other high risk ventures people engaged
in where they ended up getting killed: climbing mount
Everest, climbing mountains with high risk of avalanche,
tightrope walking, jumping over Niagara Fall, freestyle
skiing to a height more than 20 ft above a half-pipe,
running on one leg across Canada as a recovering cancer
patient. No one call these people who died doing what
they loved or died for a worthy cause idot. This
guy apparently wasn't doing what he did just for the thrill.
I wouldn't call him an idiot.

I think Youtube has a bunch of videos of folks doing crazy things on rooftops and on moving vehicles like trains and cars.

What the guy did was absurd! He could have easily fallen and died and taken the cat out with him along with whomever he might land on.

All he had to do was walk down the hallway and knock on his neighbour’s door, FFS!

This shares nothing in common with climbing Mount Everest. That was a well planned achievement in human history...this guy is just randomly doing something dangerous.

Chair girl way more idiotic. The guy's trying to save his cat. Chair girl was pure idiot. What she did had no purpose other than being an idiot. Not even close a comparison. She's probably not employable other than being an sp.

GTA & Thereabouts...
Fuck!!! I'd wish that cat well from afar...

I've never been the same with heights since I was in BC, looked over the edge of a cliff and got what I think was 'Vertigo'... I swear my body wanted me to walk right over the ledge. Freaked me the fuck out.

People who risk their lives for a fucking cat deserve to die. Cats are assholes in general, and aren't worth the risk.

anywhere i want;)
Gave me goosebumps watching it but I wouldn't call him an idiot. How do we know if he went to his neighbours or not? Maybe he did and they weren't home ... In that case he climbed over and got his cat.

I'm an animal love so I would have probably done the same thing... lol

It’s a cat. It’ll be fine. It got over there, it can get back if it wants to. Buddy was 100% endangering himself unnecessarily. I’ve seen cats get into and out of all kinds of weird places. Nature’s little ninjas.

LOL...But it’s not like the cat was in any peril...it was sitting comfortably on the neighbour’s balcony. I’m sure the cat would have just come back on his own if the guy had just left him alone. He took a safe situation and turned it into a dangerous one.

Also...This is obviously not the first time this dude has walked across his ledge like this. Look how comfortably and easily he walks along that ledge- he has obviously done this many times before.

Multiple cat rescue operations from the looks of it...LOL.

I hope the police sent an officer over to check on the guy. I’m not suggesting he committed a crime...but the cops should go and politely suggest he stop doing this and explore alternatives for future cat rescue situations. While they’re at it, the cops could also assess whether the guy appears of sound mind or if they should take him to CAMH for a psyc evaluation.
