Its coming! Can’t wait for uber eats and SkipTheDishes to jump onboard with this solution. Expect a lot of resistance in sub-urban neighbourhoods. Eventually this will be a normal thing that everyone accepts. Likely technology advancements will make this more efficient, quieter and more environmentally friendly if powered on electricity.

So, how does this stuff work for people who live in condos or apartments? Can they deliver to my balcony, or do I have to run downstairs?

Its in the initiation phase right now. Presently limited to two rural communities in Virginia and will begin first commercial operation within months. Drone regulations still donÂ’t permit most flights over crowds and urban areas, limiting where Wing can operate. But the approvals signed by the FAA on Friday and Monday give the company the ability to charge for deliveries of clientsÂ’ goods in Virginia and apply for permission to expand to other regions.

So they are starting small in sparsely populated areas then plan on expanding and creeping into the more densely populated areas. I imagine busy urban and condos might be a while and better suited for self driving. A couple of options could exist for condos such as if they have a roof or designated areas designed for delivery. Although it might not be efficient in for condos and urban environments.

Here is a good article on Bloomberg explaining the details https://www.bloomberg.com/news/arti...-delivery-business-cleared-for-takeoff-by-faa
