Cops can't make sure we are safe on the streets, innocent people being randomly run over by an incel with a van. But people want the correctional system to guarantee safety to a bunch of criminals???? Ok. Cause that makes sense.

This ^^^

There's not enough room to put every criminal who's potentially in danger of being beaten up by, well, some other criminal. This story falls under the heading of, shit happens...

Criminals get beat up in jail all the time. They call it 'cupping' they take the metal cups they have for drinking and will beat your ass with it if you snitch, take too much time on your phone calls or you step out of line with them.

I have ZERO sympathy for this serial killer. I hope he gets it a few more times.

Are you referring to the guy who drove the van down Yonge St.? If so, was this an isolated incident or do events like this happen all the time? How could the police have stopped this?

There was another Incel mass killing attempt in Portland that was foiled, correct me if I'm wrong. They have a wide network and were relentlessly attacking Captain Marvel, now they've turned their attention to Dark Phoenix.

I'm going to the theater when it comes out, no chronic masturbaters iz going to stop me, fangula.

As for Brucie, it was an accident!

They were rehearsing a scene from Zorro - The Gay Blade.

I am.

Don't like that, then what about all the shootings, car accidents, domestic violence, assaults, robberies, etc. What about cops that are in schools, or malls, etc. Where assaults, robberies, etc still happen.

My point remains the same. NO ONE can be guaranteed safety. Not by any means, and that is with a bunch of good old normal citizens. How does anyone expect to have a guarantee when you are dealing with a bunch of inmates?

It is ridiculous to have that type of expectation of correction officers.

Your point still is completely wrong. When society takes away somebody's freedom and deprives them of any defense, clearly society, in this case the correctional system must guarantee the person's safety.

The courts sentence him to prison, not to "be tortured and assaulted". If I was a judge I would refuse to sentence anybody to prison, as long as there are frequent assaults in the prisons.

Society didn't take shit from him. HE did. HIS choices did.

But you're just trolling so sorry but I'm not playing your game. Thanks.

With all due respect, you are the one trolling with your outrageous posts. But that is fine.

There are other reasons also. However, there have been cases of judges refusing to send people to prison for lack of protection.

Not for serial killers, Dan.

What are you gonna do with McArthur, give him house-arrest??

I don't feel sorry for any mass murderers being abused in prison. Shithead got a taste of his own fucking medicine

Wouldn't be surprised if a lawyer or two are building a case that Mr. McArthur's Charter rights were violated while in federal custody. Trudeau is probably already getting the cheque book ready.

I would make sure he is safe in prison. He was rightly sentenced to life in prison, not to be assaulted and tortured and to fear for his life.

You may well believe that serial killers should be executed, but then argue for changing the law.

This guy clearly deserves the maximum punishment the law allows, and that is what he got. But it does not include assault and torture.

That's the dilemma. We want to be better than these shitheads. We want to say "we reject assholes like you. We will never be like you. We will take the high road because we respect human life. Although you deserve to be drawn and quartered, instead a gaol cell w no TV for the rest of your natural life." (Except maybe bad infomercials and highlights from this year's Ottawa Senators season). But at the same time....yes, totally ok to feel...well...unmoved...LOL....by his plight (i.e., a prison style ass kicking).
