I’m on Terb as I got the notification from my MLB app. Kevin Pillar traded to SF.

Wow. Are they making room for Dalton Pompey and his final chance?

Sensible trade from BJ perspective. Makes room for Pompey, Alford and Davis to show what they can do...

Helps the Giants too.

But I wonder how Pillar feels about it. The Giants are not a much better team than the BJ's right now. Pillar loves this city. And, at 30, is still young enough to be part of it when the BJ's become competitive.

OTOH, $5.8 million for playing a boy's game makes it all worth while!

I wish him well. He has been a "good" BJ. Maybe the change to NL baseball will re-energize him and he can keep on making those great catches...

As he is a California kid he may not be that heartbroken.

Getting away from artificial turf will be a youth tonic for Pillar. Josh Donaldson has gotten off to great start.

If this was a move to make way for Anthony Alford, that's understandable. Provided he stays healthy.

Pompey is on the DL for awhile, his head is just like Travis’ body—-made of glass
It’s Alford time
Getting 3 breathing bodies for pillar is better than nothing, pillar was overrated big time in this market

As I wrote on the other thread, it’s ironic that Pillar got into trouble for using a homophobic slur and now he’s traded to San Francisco.

GTA & Thereabouts...
I thought Pillar's performance took a hit once he made that slur... He never seemed to be the same. The shine came off.

This was a trade long in the making.

How long will this rebuild take? Until the Rogers centre is empty of fans? $5 for 250ml cup of beer, isn't going to keep fans coming back. Soon they will have to pay Ken Pagan to come to the games.

I heard about the $5 beers....is it really just a 250ml draft cup? WTF!!!!!!!!!!!. The 500ml tall boys are a better deal then.

It's called Rogers marketing. When they were forced to offer $25 cable it's was a shit basic cable package. The better deal was the mid range to premuim cable package.

It's about the size of a can of pop (355ml) and only limited to Bud or Bud light but the lines are super long and only at select food stands and sections. By the time you get your order and get back to your seat, a whole inning or two is over. And that's Ok I guess because the Jays take about 3 innings to get a hit.
