Actually insect bites kill more people than anything.

Be a man and break out the fly swatter.

[FONT="]"For over 30 years legal gun ownership in Canada has increased but homicide rates have decreased," Mauser said. "How big a threat is a licensed firearms owner? In Canada, moose kill more people each year than registered and licensed firearms owners."

In NJ there are more deer than humans, they have no fear. You have to be very careful and drive slow at night. The ticks they carry spread lyme disease.

people love to sensationalize this topic using tragic incidents like what happen in New Zealand to push their ideals forward. Canada have excellent and tough gun laws. And yes we own a lot of guns, but i can tell you that we are the most scrutinized citizens of this country. That being said there is no need for any fully automatic weapons in our country (which there are not)

What if there is an invasion from a foreign power one day. Would automatic weapons be approved then ?

The Canadian Armed Forces uses fully Automatic assault rifle particularly the C7A2. This is a prohibited weapon and is only used by the military

Yes, I can see it now...

A nefarious murderer waits alongside a remote northern highway for his intended victim to drive by at high speed. At just the right moment, he slaps the moose on the arse and sends it running into the path of his victim, who dies in a pile of shattered windshield and moose meat. It becomes epidemic, with the body count rising daily.

FFS, can't you come up with a better argument than that?

Of course Canada spends millions to prevent moose from getting on highways and allows people to hunt moose when their numbers are high.

Maybe hammer's argument is Canada should spend an equal amount on preventing guns from getting loose and issue people permits to hunt down guns when their numbers are high.

We can't shoot moose because we cannot get any tags! I spent my tourism dollars in Northern Ontario for over 30 years until the Ontario government restricted the tag allocation to the point where I stopped hunting. My dollars now go south. DR!, Here I Come!

I don't think anyone claimed that people are using Moose to kill people.
As someone who has spent all too many years in Newfoundland and have even gone off the road avoiding one, they don't need any help.

So... FFS can't you try not strawmanning.
