Don't blame them. We're holding the equivalent of a Chinese Princess with false charges and the Canola is laced with GMO's and Glysophate. Nobody should eat that crap.

She may be a princes in prc but in North America she is accused of corruption and other charger if Canada had refused to cooperate with the states the consequences would have been worse and as far as poison and gmos go i think what the Chinese are growing at home are alot worse

PARIS — While U.S. President Donald Trump is pushing for a trade deal to slash his country’s yawning deficit with China, it was his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron who landed a €30 billion aviation contract with Beijing on Monday.
China concluded a deal to buy 300 aircraft from Airbus during President Xi Jinping’s state visit to France. The value of the deal was twice what was touted last year, and only compounds the woes of U.S. manufacturer Boeing, whose 737 MAX planes have been grounded across the world this month, after two fatal crashes.
The deal struck in France will ratchet up pressure on Trump to come good on his long-promised trade accord with China. That agreement seemed to be facing headwinds last week when Trump warned that tariffs on China would remain in place for a "substantial period" even if a Washington-Beijing deal is struck.
Macron on Monday stressed the “colossal progress” needed to rebalance trade between the two countries — the EU ran a trade in goods deficit with China of some €177 billion in 2017 — while also hailing a slew of deals done in the health, infrastructure, transport, renewable energy and financial sectors.
“In the aeronautic sector, the conclusion today of a big contract in terms of A320s and big transporters, A350s, is an important advance and an excellent signal in the current context,” Macron said during a joint press conference with his Chinese counterpart at the Élysée Palace.
Picking up on the geopolitical implications of the deal, Xi noted that "a united and prosperous Europe corresponds to our vision of a multi-polar world." According to newspaper Ouest-France, he added that "China will always support the integration of Europe and its development," and insisted that Europe was "a major pole."
Trying to play down any risk of rival models clashing in a region where both Paris and Beijing are trying to push their influence, Macron said: “In Africa we are not strategic rivals but we can be better long-term partners in the fields of security, education, infrastructure and development.”
Deals à gogo
The deal-making also stretched well beyond planes.
The countries agreed to allow French exports of chicken to China, Le Figaro reported. French energy company EDF and the China Energy Investment Corporation also signed a €1 billion accord to develop an offshore wind farm off China.
BNP Paribas, Eurazéo and the China Investment Corporation signed a memorandum of understanding to set up a Franco-Chinese co-operation fund, targeting €1 billion. BNP Paribas also signed a memorandum on cofinancing with the Bank of China that could, according to the Élysée, reach almost €6 billion in the next three years.
Schneider Electric and China's Power Construction Corporation reached a strategic agreement that could also reach €6 billion concerning the modernization of factories, Le Figaro reported. CMA-CGM and China State Shipbuilding Corporation signed a global co-operation agreement and a construction deal for 10 new ships, with an estimated value of €1.2 billion.
While Macron hailed “China’s messages of openness,” he also underlined “the need for better access to Chinese markets for French companies.”
Macron is treading a commercial tightrope in France's relations with China. While he sees the advantages of the Chinese market in a deal such as the one with Airbus, his overall strategy is more defensive. “The period of European naiveté is over,” the French president said at a gathering of EU leaders last week, calling for a united European approach on China.
France has led Europe's broader push to close the EU's €2.4 trillion-per year public procurement market to China's bidders for as long as Beijing continues to deny a slice of its mega projects to European companies.
“At a moment when the European Union is facing choices… we want [the Silk Roads] to be a two-way street," he said.

In fact, she's ruining our trade relations with China because she foolishly upheld a flawed extradition treaty. The rule of law she is upholding is US rule of law. Meng did not break any Canadian laws.
When you're friends with China, they'll bend over backwards for you. If you blow that friendship, they'll just ignore you, along with your exports. The cancelled 2.3 billion dollar canola export to China is just the beginning; next is going to be the 230 tonnes of weekly lobster exports. Think about the number of East coast fishermen who are going to go bust and lose their boats as a result.... just because our rigid upholding of the rule of law (except for SNC Lavalin).

The new agreement has Canada having to ask US approval for any further free-trade agreements, including with China.

Just heard that Canada has offered refuge to the Hong Kong (originally Filipino) family that sheltered the American fugitive Ed Snowden. Won't this piss off the U.S.? Do we now have both the PRC and the U.S. pissed at us? How badly can a Liberal government screw up?
This will really hurt the Trudeau Liberals politically as they hold almost all the seats in Atlantic Canada. On the other hand, the Trudeau Liberal don't give a darn about Western canola farmers because they don't vote Liberal (with the possible exception of Freeland's father who is a canola farmer).
