I personally find it amazing that the Americans belatedly are promoting "might over law" as in "Acquisition of territory by war", when it is likely only a matter of time before USA will give up the position of Top Dog.the Golan heights rightly belonged to Israel. Syria attacked Israel and they lost the GH. to the victor goes the spoils.
Anti-Semite or not kissing Israel's ass is the politically prudentThis should dispel any rumors that Trump is an anti-Semite. (His daughter is Jewish and he moved the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem.)
Acquisition of land through war is a war crime.the Golan heights rightly belonged to Israel. Syria attacked Israel and they lost the GH. to the victor goes the spoils.
Is it?Anti-Semite or not kissing Israel's ass is the politically prudent
thing to do for the POTUS.
Bush either said God told him to invade Iraq or went in after the oil.All U.S. presidents and politicians
of influence have to kiss Israel's ass. Richard Nixon would make
scathing remarks on Jews in private but came to Israel's rescue in
no time in the Yom Kippur war. George Bush's invasion of Iraq
would have been purely monstrous stupidity if WMD were the
sole motivation of the war. Bush in fact said in a conference
prior to the war that the liberated Iraq will be Israel-friendly.
Israel may not be popular among the U.S. citizens. Israel may
not be popular among the citizens but it is nonetheless prudent
for the U.S. president to be Israel's lackey when people around
him in the capitol hill are pro-Israel. I do think Jimmy Carter was
the one decent guy among past U.S. presidents
for his effort to secure peace between Israel and Palestine.
We know that Trump only does stuff not only by gut instincts, but also politically to benefit him in the eyes of his base, although they may make zero sense.Bush either said God told him to invade Iraq or went in after the oil.
I haven't heard anyone suggest that it was a favour to Israel.
The EU and Syria have come out against this statement, of course.
And now you've got dems refusing to attend AIPAC.
Unlike the Democrats Trump and/or the GOP have very few if any Jewish supporters. So, I don't see any political benefits for Trump/GOP.Anti-Semite or not kissing Israel's ass is the politically prudent
thing to do for the POTUS.
