Told her I picked up a buddy there and quickly changed the subject....best i could come up with in the spur of the moment. Utilizing multiple devices was a horrible oversight on my part. Everything is cool on the homefront....i think.
Makes sense, just make sure you have a buddy who can back it up if necassary.

Bumping this old thread for more stories lol.

Co worker asked to borrow my phone to check the weather app and Terb was open on my browser. Yikes. Luckily she didn’t look at it at all and toggled to the Home Screen .

Was using TERB Friday evening when the SO was out. She came home and I had forgotten to shutdown TERB.
She actually sat at the table next to the laptop. She, for some inexplicable reason didn't look at it or use it...she often hops on in if i'm not on it...
To my horror about an hour after she got home, i sat down back at the comp and noticed that the site was there in my face! HOLY!!!

I decided to start this chat to hear other people's close calls, due to stupidness (like me), or whatever...
Your assumption that she doesn't know is catastrophically careless. I would assume she knows and played dumb, considering your laptop doesn't auto-lock the screen after 60 seconds of inactivity and requires a sign-in I assume you are rife with vulnerabilities as one who hobbies.

There are good posts here regarding protecting yourself as one who hobbies you might want to take a look. It couldn't hurt.

I have had a couple close calls with the SO catching me on terb. Thankfully I have quick reflexes and was able to close the browser window each time before any damage was done. It was harder to explain why I had an erection to the SO😂. Let's just say I learned my lesson and now I double and triple check to make sure the SO is not around before I browse terb.

LMFAO. I actually did this like 6 months back. I was checking out Amari@Secrets on my phone, and my colleague pinged me asking for a link, so I thought I copied the right link to the teams folder, and pasted it in the chat. I did not even double check what I posted, but it was this photo:

She pings me back saying: "Did you mean to send me that?" and then proceeds to edit it and say "That seems to be a Twitter link" (I saw her first message as well)

I check and I go: "FUCKKKKKK AM FIRED!". But I deleted the link on Teams, and then sent her the right link and just went: "That is strange. Must be malware. But here you go" and pasted the right link.

She was a gem. Her attitude towards me never changed, she never brought it up and we still have a great working relationship. She infact gave me a very positive review for my latest appraisal. Maybe she is a lesbian and now follows Amari as well? 😂 😂 😂

I use bluetooth to connect to my car so when I am driving I can listen to whatever music or audio books are on my phone. Jump in the car and bingo it loads up where I left off.

However if I am on Youtube or some other site PHub etc when I jump in the car and the big screen in the dash loads up it will show the last thing I was watching so PHub loads up (just the audio and the title). The couple of times its happened I have quickly switched to the music app and my SO hasnt noticed. Now I know to disable bluetooth when I leave the car, or switch the car to FM before I turn it to off.

But now I think about all those times when I might have been on something or other and the SO pops out in the car and the screen loads up with whatever I was watching until blue tooth drops out of range. She has never said anything but I'm sure she must have seen something. And now if she ever takes my car I quickly jump on the phone and turn off Bluetooth just in case I forgot to switch the car.

Damn you Bluetooth such useful but dangerous technology.

Oh and heres another one - for context I'm married with kids. I commute a lot so I listen to audiobooks and I tend to download dating/pickup artist type books - theres lots.... I might be married but I like to keep myself up on the latest stuff... plus I like listening to PUAs adventures - I guess living vicariously through them...

Anyhoo my daughter is just getting into phones and she likes to grab mine and watch youtube videos... one day she yells out "Dad what is Mens Guide To Dating Younger Women". Wife just looks at me.

I told her I was listening to a Tim Ferriss podcast and he was interviewing a Pick Up Artist.... I think she bought it...

BTW I highly recommend for married guys books by Shogun - Married Game..... awesome advice for dealing with wives who try and pressure you into not listening to this shit....these days I'm pretty sure she knows what I read and listen to...just keep them on a password protected phone or pc ha ha

I also use the lines "does it matter where I get my appetite so long as I only eat at home? or
Its hard enough putting up with one woman, do you think I could cope with 2? Ha ha...

Heres a tip - I keep 2 browsers on my phone Firefox is the default on my home screen. I have Vivaldi (great privacy options) and that ones buried in a folder called Forex (too boring for my wife to look at). If I look at anything NSFW I use Vivaldi. And make sure I close the app if I hand my phone off to someone.

I do the same. I use chrome on my phone as default browser and Firefox hidden in a subfolder for hobbying.

Thanks for the Vivaldi tip. Always looking at different ways to be more discreet and keep things hidden from the wifey.

Ya... you see so many posts worried that SWers will some how 'out' them. They are not the issue, it's we who are our own worst enemies.

Browsers left open, using our main browser instead of using firefox, not setting the computer to 30s sleep mode to hide the screen, texting on our real phone instead of using a burner phone, using our main bank account for cash withdrawals instead of cheques cashed anonymously or without a trace, location left on on our phones or not using Geo-location spoofers, forgetting about geo-tracking on your fitbit, AirTags or our cars. The list is endless. Right now I'm trying to figure out how to get around the mileage that is added to the truck for unexplained trips. If anyone has a solution to this one (other than excuses which gets thin after awhile), please feel free to share. I have a work around but that doesn't help in winter.

Is the wife tracking your mileage? Is she already suspicious?
How about a buddy who is down on his luck, or doing some reno, and has asked to borrow your truck when you dont need it, or when its parked at work. He gives you gas money and you dont mind helping out a friend.

Read an article on Medium about a bloke who had apple everything and all his photos upload to the cloud and they sync to all the phones... Anyhoo hes on a "business trip" and his date is bored... hes in the shower or something... grabs his phone and takes some shots of herself (girls love selfies)... which then syncs to all his devices.... By all accounts his daughter is on a tablet when a new photo pops up.... daughter says "mom who is this photo of?"

Moral of story.... do I need to spell it out....

Oh and btw what I do... I use android.... I have one cell account and I pay for 1 phone... wife has that phone - pays $45 month all in and I have a $10 a month tablet sim card which is in my phone - so my phone technically has no number... just a data connection. But then I pay for MySudo - $10-20 a month.... and I can add and delete as many phone numbers as I want when I want... super reliable app..... I did this cos Im being cheap and the wife knows I'm cheap so she never questions why I use the app... But for plausible deniability "the app crashed" if I ever need to be incommunicado.... also my phone is a 5yr old LG with "a shit battery so its always dying" - lots of excuses if I ever need to be off the radar... also my GPS is always off... to save battery...

I find the best tricks are always in plain site. No burner phone - nothing that can be discovered... she knows about the app and that my phone is crap... and every time I go to the supermarket I always get some cash when I check out - just $40-60 here and there... adds up quickly but no big atm withdrawals.... thats the "in case the power and ATMs go down" stash if ever she finds it.... which she wont.... but if....

I NEVER LEAVE MY CLOTHES WHEN I GO TO SHOWER! At MPs or wherever....i take my clothes with me. Phone, wallet, keys...ALWAYS WITH ME....
I haven't hobbied for years really...my stop for the quickie HJ once in a blue moon....very seldom though. Almost got hobbying out of my system. Been trying for years.
Plus, I installed MX Linux on an old Lenovo laptop years ago. NOBODY touches it. They only know windows. It's MY laptop that I don't have to worry about anyone trying to use.

people do love pouring oil on themselves then playing with fire 🔥 Cheating feels better in the fantasy realm rather than reality, but I ain't no snitch!
