Wilson-Reybould has one big ego on her that is for sure.
She was on her 4 chief of staff by the time the 'pressure' occurred
The so called pressure is just her in shock that people actually questioned her decision
So she had her daddy run to the media for her because she lost her 'dream job'

If she wins again and Trudeau remains PM, she will be very back bench till she crosses to the NDP to go after Singh's job. She was aiming for Singh's job the day she got shuffled out of Justice Minister

JWR is now toxic material. No party will trust her in any position of power. She screwed her boss by turning on him, and she substantially reduced her MP colleagues' chances for re-election. Another party may showcase her crossig the floor, but loyalty to the party chief is paramount. I don't think she would have enough support to run for party head, in any party, despite what seems to be a lot of approval from the opposition and the press.

The opposition parties are using her to discredit the Liberals, not to elevate her. The press are blowing this up as some sort of Joan of Arc event just to keep the scandal rolling in order to sell advertising. Andrew Sheer has no credibility when calling for Trudeau's resignation and for an RCMP investigation; he's being as theatric as Trudeau.

There are a lot of reasons not to vote for Trudeau and the Liberals, but these are being ignored in favour of what seems to be PC hysterics. A lot of First Nations chiefs are not happy with her, as she set back relations between First-Nations and the government by at least a decade. I believe that, wrt indigenous relations, Trudeau was sincere despite his theatrics.

I don't know who to vote for anymore. Not the phony and bombastic Sheer; not the uber-PC white knight Trudeau; not for the socialist (who wants to tax me to death) NDP socialist in an expensive three piece suit (and why can't he wear an ordinary turban like most respectable Sikhs?); can't vote for the wacky Greens who now want to take away my guns. Can't vote for the Bloc.

I hope they will be found guilty in corruption domestically in Quebec also! Then they will be ban forever!!

Criminal fraud & corruption charge in Quebec beside outside Canada( Libya bribe scandals ) and also election acts fraud charge in Canada all this event occurs in Canada:
1) Criminal frauds & corruption charges Montreal Jacque Cartier Bridge ( https://www.thestar.com/news/canada...ontreal-bridge-contract-documents-reveal.html )

2) Criminal frauds & corruption charge in Montreal McGill SuperHospital ( https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/montreal/snc-lavalin-ceo-guilty-fraud-************-duhaime-1.5001839 )

3) Election frauds acts to Liberal Party & to Conservative Party
( https://globalnews.ca/news/4215730/...with-illegal-federal-political-contributions/ )

The Montreal-based company agreed in 2016 to a compliance agreement, which detailed almost $118,000 in donations to the Liberal and Conservative parties through company employees or their spouses who were then reimbursed by SNC-Lavalin. The improperly donated sums included: $83,534.51 to the Liberal Party of Canada; $13,552.13 to various Liberal riding associations; $12,529.12 to four contestants in the 2006 Liberal leadership race, including $5,000 each to Michael Ignatieff and Bob Rae; $3,137.73 to the Conservative Party of Canada; and $5,050 to various Conservative riding associations.

They quietly pleaded guilty
https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/election-financing-snclavalin-charbonneau-1.4984823

4) Libya bribes occurs in Canada & outside Canada

If found guilty of fraud or corruption then SNC Lavalin will be ban for 10 year of federal contracts.
So maybe they should go to jail.

Oh wait!..... you can't send a corporation to jail.

So send 9000 Canadian employees to jail...

Oh wait!..... it's not those 9000 employees' fault.

So they should all lose their jobs.

Oh wait!..... it wasn't their fault, except for the few at the top who already got convicted and fired!

So why the criminal prosecution, when in a DPA, the fine can be massive and certain?

A criminal prosecution in this case does not mean an automatic conviction. It is difficult for the Crown to prove that the corporation, rather than its officers, commited an offense beyond a reasonable doubt. What if SNC got to be innocent of all charges? It would be too late for a DPA then.

SNC will have a lot more lawyes than the Crown, who in the past, have not proven to be the sharpest knives in the drawer.

No she didn't. And she wasn't able to fully testify. Nor has been able to give rebuttal to those who contradicted her facts.

And today they are trying to change the channel by shutting down everything and trying to make it about separating the AG and justice Minister positions.

This won't be swept under the rug.
What stuff was she not able to fully testify?? Clearly Trudeau mentioned that she can fully testify to the Committee, and she did that. Butts subsequently gave his testimony, as she had accused Butts in her testimony. So, is this supposed to be a back and forth session??

What it wrong with you? You've demonstrated you have the ability to Google things and post links. So look it up yourself. If you do, you'll find all sorts of references to what she can't say. Which should answer your question once and for all.

The Conservatives Monday will seek to give Wilson-Raybould more of a chance to provide more detail with a motion in the House of Commons calling on Trudeau to extend the time period on the confidentiality waiver he issued his former attorney general, so it includes events that occurred after she was shuffled out of the justice portfolio.

She has said the waiver doesn’t free her to explain why she resigned from cabinet or what she told the cabinet in an unusual meeting she attended a week after she resigned.

The reason the JT is preventing JWR from telling her whole story, is he knows it will be even more damaging to his chance of re-election.

Liberals have blocked the motion to waive full privilege & cabinet confidence that would have allowed Jody Wilson-Raybould to speak the FULL truth.

So much for transparency

The toll from the SNC-Lavalin affair:

Feb. 12 - Jody Wilson-Raybould resigns from cabinet
Feb. 18 - Gerald Butts resigns as principal secretary
Mar. 4 - Jane Philpott resigns from cabinet
Mar. 18 - Michael Wernick resigns as Privy Council Clerk

March 11 - It's suddenly announced that Mario Dion, the Federal ETHICS Commissioner, is off immediately on a "prolonged medical leave of absence".

The timing is suspect.

According to CTV:

"Dion had recently undertaken a probe into whether Prime Minister Justin Trudeau broke federal ethics laws in relation to the ongoing SNC-Lavalin controversy.

His office announced on Feb. 11 that he had launched an investigation in the case because he had "reason to believe that a possible contravention" of the Conflict of Interest Act has occurred, specifically regarding a public office holder seeking to improperly influence a decision of another person."

Why is it any concern to the committee on why she resigned or what she told cabinet?
The committee was formed on the basis of the Justice Minister being "Pressured"
The committee should not be concerned with Jody's tears about losing her 'Dream Job'

Time to move along on this, why she resigned is something she can write in her memoirs that no one will read... If she believes something occurred during that time that was against the law then she should go to the RCMP... The committee is acting on the so called 'pressure' she was under as Justice Minister not her drama or tears...

You are talking nonsense!
The penalty is no federal contract for SNC Lavalin for 10 year!
Prove to me that 9000 job will be lose!
BY the way still a short supply of Engineer.. There are in demand by other engineer companies like Hatch!

The other workers weren't involved in the fraud and most likely only the officer & director & CEO & upper management should go to jail.
The other 9000 worker obviously had benefits from the SNC Lavalin company culture of frauds because the SNC companies won the contract unfairly.
The other 9000 workers reaped the benefits obvious by being employed whereas other Canadian companies bid fairly for the federal / provincial contracts ( Jacques Cartier bridge or Montreal SuperHospital ( McGill) lost out and they probably lost their jobs.

The reason fair punishment would be SNC Lavalin not allowed to bid for any provinical or federal for 10 year!

Listen I posted the link where Trudeau clearly stated that he told JWR to fully testify. Anyway, for change do a search yourself:

Randy Boissonnault, the Liberal MP who earlier this month accused opposition parties of being on a witch hunt, asks Wilson-Raybould if she has confidence in the PM. She replies she resigned cabinet "because I did not have confidence to sit around the cabinet table."

That was just another example of a Trudeau half-truth. Speak freely, but only from this date to this date. That's not letting someone fully testify. Not even close.

I provided many references where JWR and others have said the waiver doesn’t free her to explain why she resigned from cabinet or what she told the cabinet in an unusual meeting she attended a week after she resigned. Trudeau and Butts were allowed to talk about this period of time, but not JWR. #coverup

I just provided actual facts to contradict your allegations. We all know that the two opposition parties just want this whole affair to drag out just so to distract the voters from the actual factors that voters should be focusing on. All the parties were fully allowed to testify to the Committee. Trudeau's statement giving JWR the full authority to do so under questioning by the Committee was there for all to see.

Believe what you want, but if you truly want to see a real "coverup", we have two Provincial Conservative parties that are truly mired in it. The Ontario as well as the Alberta Conservative parties. They are against full transparency in their scandals. But the hypocrisy and dishonesty from the right is there for all to see.

That's laughable. JWR still has more to say and JT won't allow her to speak due to the gag order he placed on her. That's a fact. She also named up to a dozen people who she says tried to influence her decision but only a few of them were called to testify before the committee. So again, no we have not heard from everyone.

I suspect JWR heard something so egregious that caused her to resign from caucus. Trudeau knows it and and that's why he's preventing her from speaking any further. This isn't a left or right thing for me.

Trudeau's gag order on JWR and the Liberals shutting down the committee to prevent anyone else from speaking on the SNC scandal is a real cover up. The RCMP should be called in to investigate the SNC-Lavalin scandal.

I believe the RCMP is investigating the Alberta PC party. They should also investigate the Ontario PCs. That's the way it should be.

The RCMP investigation into the gas plant scandal resulted in jail time for one employee.

Again, it is not up to Trudeau whether JWR should have been allowed to come back to testify the same garbage.... he said / she said. It was up to the Committee that voted to curtail this whole affair and to let the SNC-Lavalin case play out in Court. We have Siemens who have been fined for similar reasons in the USA and Germany, yet they have been permitted to conduct their businesses unhinged. There are 20 - 40 such cases in the USA on an annual basis, and no one even bats an eyelid there.

Remember that there was also one of Harper's staff who headed to jail after his campaign violations, and Duffy was the other case that was investigated by the RCMP!!

It was Trudeau who placed a gag order on the timeline for which JWR was allowed to speak to. Why, because he was fearful of her damaging testimony. If it was a strictly he said / she said, why have JWR, Butts, Wernick and Philpott all resigned? There's way more to this story, which is exactly why the Liberals shut it down.

Canadians want more government services and higher taxes on the rich.
Yelling over and over about an imaginary SNC scandal won't change that.

Again, Trudeau clearly stated that she was free to testify to the Committee, and she did not hold back. Why should they keep this whole affair going backwards and forwards when it is about two different testaments under oath v one testament under oath. Certain details are privy to the Cabinet meetings. All I heard was rebuttals for what JWR stated, although the Opposition and the Right Wing media makes you believe otherwise.

Imaginary scandal? You're joking, right?
Again, if this is called a "scandal", that "pressuring" a Minister / AG to follow what numerous other administrations round the globe, including the Conservative Government in Canada, with the Tobacco and Oil industries did on a routine basis is hilarious!!
