On the other hand, the universe is infinitely massive so the possibility of any advanced civilization locating us amidst all the dust and being able to travel the millions of light years to get here is infinitely small for them to visit us "again"

I definitely believe there is life in other parts of the Universe, it's a certainty.
However, there is also the possibility that we are the most advanced, just like we could be the least advanced civilization.
Also the universe could be older than 14 billion years. At this point in time that is the light that has reached us, and it is all we can see. Nothing travels faster than light, the light we see is 14 billion years old.

I think we better get it together and learn how to get off this rock long before it crashes into the sun.

What are you talking about. Aliens are already here! You’re late to the party. There could be aliens on this board right now!
There probably are other intelligent life forms out there, but I doubt any of them have interacted with us. Any civilization advanced enough to go faster than light would probably view us as too insignificant to be worth their attention. They would probably view us the same way we view an ant colony.
As a student of science I feel embarrassed that I at
some point thought light-speed travelling was possible.
It is truly science fiction stuff. No civilization however

needed to propel any object of a finite amount of
mass to light speed--photon can travel at light speed
because it has zero mass. It would be unbelievable
if we ever attain a fraction of light speed.

Can we narrow the date down to when in 2028 the aliens arrive? I'd like to plan vacation time so I can check out their ride.
You are wrong, Aliens have travelled at light speed to reach earth so to help primitive man move big stones.
On a serious note, whether faster than light travel is possible, in many ways, boils down to if you think we are the first intelligent species in the universe. If we are not the first intelligent species and faster than light travel is possible then our entire universe would have been colonized by Aliens, since that does not appear to be the case then either we are the first intelligent species or faster than light travel is not possible.
Wonder what kind of telescope aliens used to detect
and study the millions to billions of invisible planets
around them from a distance of hundreds to
thousands of light years away. Assuming they had
the means to do this they could not be very smart
to have taken the time to check out all the possible
locations where they might find any inferior life form
who needed their help to move big stones.
