Figuratively not literally. No need to resign or apologize.

I must of missed when he said figuratively in his words.
But coming from you it’s not surprising that you’re attempting to excuse his words, as you put your political beliefs ahead of your values and morals. And you are condoning these his behaviour since it’s coming from a conservative.

The trucker protest was aptly named UNITED WE ROLL.

As K Douglas said the senator was speaking figuratively NOT literally.

"I was referring to defeating every single Liberal in the upcoming election" he told CTV NATIONAL NEWS.

"I am not advocating violence and I think everybody knows that, except for those for whom it serves a purpose to interpret otherwise, certainly the people at the rally knew what I meant".

Doggy are you that far down the rabbit hole that you'd seriously propagate something as evil as this?

If so I feel sorry for you.

Then perhaps we should revisit the issue of Adam Vaughan suggesting that Doug Ford get WACKED.

Figuratively? He's talking to truck drivers. He may or may not have been serious, but definitely crossed the line by suggesting mowing down people with vehicles. A bad joke for public consumption, but typical of the casual banter of alt right rednecks amongst themselves. Who hasn't overheard every manner of painful demise of the PM imagined by an angry immigrant-phobe?

He did advocate for violence against Liberals across the country and saying he meant it figuratively after the fact a video surfaces does not change that. He is changing his tune because there is a video.
I can't stand Adam Vaughan as I think he is POS just like David Tkachuk not only for statements like that but also for other reasons, I do have to give Adam Vaughan credit as he apologized for his statement something Tkachuk hasn't.
But he too should have resigned just like David Tkachuk should. Our country Canada has no place for inciting violence and spreading hate will end up like the Divided States Of America.

As for feeling sorry for me wow thanks but you should concentrate your sorrows on the uneducated and the misinformed, I am as good as it gets.

So truck drivers will blindly follow what some random senator says now? Makes me wonder how so many truck drivers have functioned so far with all the stupid stuff said thus far on television, radio, movies, newspapers, internet, etc. The truth is that the nut bars that are actually going to drive over people don't need excuses like some public figure mouthing off.

The senator's words were very stupid, but it's a far stretch to suggest that they might awaken the homicidal maniacs out there.

Some of the truckers are blaming the indigenous folks for killing Trans-Mountain Pipeline.

The NEB once again approved the Trans-Mountain Pipeline to-day but the indigenous folks say it will never happen.

Why don't they take their caravan to Vancouver and see how it goes over? It is BC that rejects the pipeline, not Ottawa, and it will be interesting to see Scheer try to force it on them. Hint: it won't go well....

My political beliefs are based upon my values and morals. And logic. Which is why I am not calling for the Senator to apologize. I think it's clear to every rational logical thinking human being that he is not inciting violence against Liberals by telling truckers to mow them down in the streets.

That's certainly clear to me. However it is also clear from events going back a decade or so that a good many people on the street are far from rational, logical thinkers and when pols like the Senator use their media megaphones they are talking to them too. And we've seen some of those imperfect folks take even the most unworthy pols at their word.

If only we could make so-called 'leaders' like the Senator stick to rational logical thinking — like you and I — instead of shouting out the first stupid, gut-stirring sound-bite their Evil Twin put on the tip of their tongue. At least no one elected this clown.

The Liberals have been pushing this issue as part of their desperate effort to get people to stop talking about the SNC-Lavalin scandal.

What's particularly troubling is that the clerk of the PCO made an issue of it last week. Promoting the Liberals' issue management strategy made Canada's top civil servant look rather partisan, if you ask me.
