Ok, but what makes this immigrants dangerous to our country? The 20 terrorist that carried out the 911 attacks, entered the US legally and some of them from Canada.
It was my understanding that non of the 911 terrorists came through Canada,

You are absolutely right..... Thank you.

Here is another interesting and accurate fact.

The libertarian CATO Institute said that from 1975 through 2017, seven people who entered the U.S. illegally from “special interest” countries — states tied at least loosely to terrorism — were convicted of planning attacks on U.S. soil. None crossed from Mexico. They came from Canada or jumped ship in U.S. ports, and all before special interest countries were classified as such. The plots were foiled and no one was hurt.

Street count proves refugees are taking a huge toll on shelters. Top cause of homelessness in Toronto in 2018 was — not surprisingly — migration
Street Needs Assessment - https://www.toronto.ca/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/99be-2018-SNA-Results-Report.pdf

There are more Canadian homeless on the streets now than ever due to shelter space being take up by refugees. What happened Canada? How could you put non Canadians above your own citizens. Many who fought for the freedoms we enjoy today. Absolutely disgusting.

40% of those in Toronto shelter system are refugees or asylum seekers.

Slightly off topic but my buddy's wife works for social services in Toronto. She sees these economic migrants day in and day out. A family of 4 receives 4,000 a month between welfare and child benefits. They know the system inside and out. If they say they have a 'special diet', add another 280/month.

4,000 a month! I think many would be better off leaving Canada and coming back as an economic migrant.

asking GM to give us back the over 3 billion dollars they legally borrowed from us but never gave it back.
I thought they did pay everything back and more. Anyway, it was 10 years ago but I think it was the unions (protect our jobs), GM pensioners (protect our pensions) who yelled the loudest for a government bailout.

Or the 23 billion the Harper government gave Canadian banks to buy risky mortgages in 2008.
"In return, the government gets a series of securities with a rate of return well in excess of the rate Ottawa would pay on the $25 billion it borrows in the first place."

Is it worth adding facts to the immigrant fear-fest?

The city runs a whole bunch of halfway houses and shelters for the homeless paid for by all three levels of government as well as all sorts of subsidized housing options. They also support many programs to help homeless get job training, clothing, job search, mental health, ..... The sad part of the homeless issue is there are many people who choose not to make use of the services available either because they don't want to meet the program expectations or their mental health issues prevent them from doing so.

So yes, we do spend millions on homeless, some of them whom will never overcome their difficulties. I have no issue with giving refugee claimants a couple years of support so they have the option of becoming productive members of the country (assuming their refugee claim even gets approved).

Why would some bumb who most likely drank and drugged their way to where they are deserve a hotel room. Give them each one and then track them 5 years later to see who has adapted, not the bumb I'm guessing.

As for the military angle, they know what they are signing up for, I kind of wish I had have explored my trade through the military.
