Will Trump try to kill the Mueller investigation now that Barr is in place?

Trump has been going nuts on twitter this morning, apparently the line at the omelette bar wasn't that long.

The news over the weekend hasn't been good for him.
Mueller says Manafort should spend 20 years in jail and will likely now die in jail unless Trump pardons him.
Stone has been shut up and Mueller has provided the court with evidence showing that Stone was in contact with both the Russian hackers and Assange in regards to the DNC hacks.

Barr is now in place.

And this is what Trump tweeted over the weekend:

The Mueller investigation is totally conflicted, illegal and rigged! Should never have been allowed to begin, except for the Collusion and many crimes committed by the Democrats. Witch Hunt!

“These guys, the investigators, ought to be in jail. What they have done, working with the Obama intelligence agencies, is simply unprecedented. This is one of the greatest political hoaxes ever perpetrated on the people of this Country, and Mueller is a coverup.” Rush Limbaugh

We are seeing the worst corruption in place by a sitting POTUS. This investigation should go to the very end just like the Benghazi one did. The difference between the two investigations was apples and crumbs. The Russiagate investigation unveiled the most criminal wrongdoings against any sitting Government in the past century. There are many more to be unearthed. But take a deep look at the Benghazi investigation and what did that reveal. Just fine sweet nothing granules. The Benghazi one lasted close to 3 years, and this one is still ongoing.

All we know is that Trump is expected to pardon both Manafort and Stone, once Stone is charged and sent to prison!!

You're setting yourself up for unnecessary grief and disappointment. Because Mueller came up empty. What's more, in the view of the latest revelations from McCabe, I bet the lawyers are advising Mueller not to release his report and let the matter just die of natural causes.

That's a kooky blog.

Glad to see you for one think there is no valid reason or need then for Mueller's investigation to be stopped.

Frankie, how is Manafort going to jail for breaking his plea agreement bad for Trump? It's obvious he isn't flipping and they won't cut any more deals.

This is solely about Manafort and his lies.

You think its good news that Trump's Campaign Manager is going to spend the rest of his life in jail for fraud and lying about his connections to Russia?
Do you think that would have any impact on Stone's decision to tell all to Mueller or not?

Manafort has nothing to give, Stone is facing maybe six months, a book deal and left handed celebrity. Trump's campaign manager, btw, still has an office in the West Wing- last time I checked.

Keep in mind how much he seems to be deteriorating physically after only a few months in jail. It is possible that the will may not be as strong as the body weakens. Just speculating.

Manafort will likely spend the rest of his life in prison for lying to the feds in order to protect Individual 1 under the hope that this would earn him a pardon, should Trump last in power long enough to put it in place.
Manafort has bet his life on a pardon.

And do you really think that this is all Mueller has on Stone right now?

Trump and his family will be charged under the RICO Act in New York for Racketeering, the minute he leaves office. This is the same law that was used to take down the Mafia in New York. Crime families, including the Trump crime family and the Trump Crime Organization, eventually face justice. Too many Trump investigations in New York and we all know how much New York law enforcement loves Trump.

Yes I do. Because all the charges stem from nefarious acts he committed all on his own. He was a dirty player and got his cumupance.

If he had anything he would have gave it up. He is a snake. You think after a few months and fired he would have loyalty?

He is a snake who if he had anything would have gave it up long ago. There is no loyalty to work with.

He will sit in jail and die if nessessary to protect his family if he is in bed with Russians.

How do you know that he committed all these criminal wrongdoings on his own?? He is a blatant liar and is not going to implicate Trump in any way for one reason, and one reason only. That is to try and get a pardon from Trump. It is common knowledge that Trump respects these crooks as they have not outed him, unlike Cohen who has revealed a lot of dirt on him. That is why he is going to be pardoned by Trump. There should be a separate investigation into Trump's exact involvements in all these indictments and prosecutions of all his staff and campaign members corruption / criminal charges. I am sure that Mueller has some of that evidence but there must be a lot more in it. Hopefully, the House will be focused on these investigations that they are instigating. No wonder Trump is bracing for some very damaging reports to be revealed by Mueller. That is why he is now calling the Mueller Investigation "Illegal"!!

Yes he did. The charges stem from his Ukraine dealings and financial crimes. Then the process crimes to try to cover up. And he did them with Rick Gates who turned on Manafort.

But nowhere is there anything about collusion. Again. Just the private nefarious deeds of another Washington lobbyist and international dirt bag.

We can agree to disagree about the collusion implication.

But do you buy Trump's latest tweet that the Mueller Investigation is "Illegal"?

Even posting a right wing source in this respect:

I don’t see trump/Barr ending the Mueller investigation at this point...It appears that it is winding down so there’d be no point. Trump will just keep trying to smear the investigation so that if it reports anything bad about him he can bellow about the witch hunt and the deep state. Doing so will be effective with his followers.

Barr categorically stated that he will not obstruct the Mueller investigation. That may have got under Trump's skin. That is why he is now tweeting that it is "illegal" and a "witch hunt". He wants the Democratic Party to be investigated instead. So Barr has to be fully accountable.

Then why would he keep lying even when he's been caught out at it?
All he did was make a smaller, Cohen like sentence into a life sentence.
And for what?

You think he has no other information, but he lied to Mueller and was caught.
Why would he lie since it means he dies in jail?
