1956 was a momentous year for baseball, Mickey Mantle won the Triple Crown and Frank Robinson set the rookie Hr record of 38.
Robinson was just getting started, he was part of what is considered the worst trade in MLB history. He was traded to the Baltimore Orioles for a bunch of schleppers. In spite of that the Reds would rebound nicely. He attained the Triple Crown himself in 1966 and powered the Orioles to their first WS Title. It became part of a dynasty, the Orioles would win it again in 1970 over his former club the Reds. In 1985, as manager of the Orioles he would play an important part in Blue Jays history. Sweeping the Yankees in September, allowing the Jays to win their first pennant.
