Last checked they have 2377 out of 2500 signed.

Is this right if enough people support it? Not sure how I feel about this, especially if it affects fare hikes.

In the name of thy Lord, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
This petition is to Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) to create prayer spaces in subway facilities like those that already exists in Tokyo or other cities around the world.
Abu Ubaydah Islamic Centre (BIN: 281266692) is a non for profit organization affiliated with Zancana community centre filing this petition to TTC and the Mayor’s Office in Toronto, Ontario. We are petitioning for prayer spaces (partitions) to be assembled in main subway stations that already have washrooms.
Why your support is needed...
Like meditation and exercise, prayer has been part of Muslim individuals practice for the past 1400 years. Muslims are obligated to pray five times a day and it varies between 5:00 am to 12:00 midnight; during which each prayer should be performed within a limited time frame and completed prior to the next. It’s understandable that Muslims can pray anywhere; however, having a clean and private space will help individuals who can’t make it home to catch their prayer more at ease while travelling with the TTC.
As a community we already have or could continue to have spaces like these in schools, in colleges, in universities, in hospitals, in malls and even at the airports. Being able to have a space to pray in subway stations with washrooms will help individuals perform the ritual washing called “wudhu” before each prayer while on their daily journey. Muslims must be clean before they pray, and masjids have washing facilities; however, any washroom with clean water can meet the requirements.
In the next 30 – 60 days we would like to collect 1000 to 10,000 signatures for our petition to get a response from the government of Toronto. This petition vows to get as many Muslim communities involved in the project to help raise awareness and show the need vs. want. This petition will be sent out in person, through e-mail and e-petition format by January 20th, 2019 to all individuals. If you support our efforts to provide a prayer space for Muslims, please add your signature.

TTC would have a hard time to find the space
for a public washroom in most stations. I would
suggest people to say their prayers while on an
elevator ride.

Perhaps facilities designed like a photo booth could do the job.
Payment by presto card should be more convenient than by coins.

Setup a prayer booth and then charge them $3.00 for 5 minutes in the booth with the presto card on top of the regular fare after 5 minutes prayer then they have to leave the ttc operator booth ( " prayer booth") wonder how the ttc union leader / ttc member feel about that .. or fuck Allah Islamic bullshit just go to the mosque or home.

As always fake news, a quick search brings up a story about a single prayer booth at one terminal in Tokyo. The both will accommodate two people.

Islam requires that prayers be done at the same time. There is absolutely no way that the Muslim population can be accommodated.

But people love fear....

I admire the devotion of good Muslims. I once saw a family praying in the parking lot of Sam's Club. They lied their prayer mats and did their prayers.

Unlike Christians that only pray on Sunday if they remember to go to church on service. Never listen to the sermon and act like asses the other 6 days of the week and 22 hours.

InBe4 they make more special demands.

And of course the Left will give in because it's all in the name of "diversity", "acceptance" and "inclusion"

And that is why Islam desperately needs a reformation. They are ruled by their Stone age beliefs and customs and it governs their lives and makes every Islamic country in the old an abject failure. There is not a single Islamic country in the world which is a success and not one of them attracts immigration. One need simply look at all the Islamic migrants who don't want to go to other Islamic countries (nor do other Islamic countries want them for that matter). They all want to go to those very same countries you disparage. That speaks volumes.

As to the issue at hand, it may very well be fake news, however, I could see and believe it happening and our spineless municipal governments caving in to such insane demands. (Probably because the same spineless politicians have already caved in to similar demands for prayer space in public schools, something I strongly disagree with and it makes me sick truth be told. Public schools by their very definition are supposed to be secular. And yet some idiotic bureaucrat has opened the door and permitted religious prayer in public schools.)

If you want a prayer space, go to your mosque or church or temple or MP. Knock yourselves out. But no one has the right to demand public money be spent on modifying ttc stations to accommodate them.

It is what our ally Saudi Arabia used to police its
people. Without it the House of Saud will be
overthrown and we will lose a pro-western
and more or less pro-Israel friend in the
the Middle East.
