The poster who wants sps to speak up on percentage of asshole clients has lost the plot.

Why would she hurt her bottomline. If she reports an honest number that upsets people here not only will she be harassed she will lose customers.
Perfect, and I bet you cant even see it.....

What % of rape is performed by men
What % of murder is performed by men
What % of....... OK, if you are capable you get the point

Male culture can be very toxic, we all know this. Those of us with Mothers, Sisters, SOs, Dughters, Nieces want them treated with respect. Boys need to be fathered, when they are not you get the ghettos of Chicago. Boys have to be turned into gentlemen.

This in no way excuses the lack of due process in the metoo movement. I also have a father, son and nephews that should also be treated with respect.

This could be the dumbest thing I have read on here in...well, weeks.
You need to come into the political forum more. But I agree this is super dumb and ignorant.

Girls in high school bully other girls far more than boys but you will never see an ad like this one telling them to control their toxic femininity.
That is a very good point. I have some friends who are teachers in elementary and middle school they tell me the bullying amongst girls is vicious and relenting. There have been studies that show 10-14 year old girls are at an even higher risk of suicide due to bullying than boys are.

But the statistics are irrelevant to them. It's all about a narrative - men clearly need to change their behavior. Period.

As a Trump supporter and donator to his campaign, wasn't expecting this from Robert Kraft. He must be stricken with conscience. My gut tells me that most of the voters who disliked this commercial hate the New England Patriots.

The MeToo# movement has been partially discredited by their silence toward Gwyneth Paltrow and Asia Argento.
What does this have to do with Robert Kraft? He has no affiliation with P&G or Gillette.

Yeah hyper-masculinity is a 'yuge' problem that needs to be addressed even in commercials for shaving body hair.

This is a shameful marketing ploy to increase their sales.

Too bad Gillette sells razors. Can't wipe my ass with them.

I gotta say whats wrong with boys rough housing? its used to be a natural occurrence that helped shaped boys. it, taught us are strengths and limitations, how to protect ourselves, competition, hierarchy, problem solving, how to deal with bullies, empathy, the list goes on...

for fuck sake schools these days have removed playing with balls for fear of kids throwing them at other kids. if kids dont learn to deal with this shit as kids how will they deal with this shit as adults?
I don't think there's anything wrong with rough housing. But there are times and places for it. A family bbq isn't one of them.

GTA & Thereabouts...
I didn't think of it as a commercial, but rather as the short video commentary as advertised.

I thought it was well done: Stop bullying, treat women with respect and as equals (encouraging your daughters), solve problems (first) without fighting, be PRESENT... and; for what I thought was the important part; stop being a sheep to the previous macho mentality... In other words: MAN THINGS = Stick up for others and Ideals.

PS - Wrestling is 'rough-housing'. Dominated altercations are not. Men allowed other men to get up off the mat.

Sure he does, Kraft is a major stake holder in PG and Gilette. He was the man who arranged the financing when George Gillette bought the Montreal Canadiens and Liverpool FC. He currently sits on the Board of Directors of PG.

OTB has the best answer. The Me Generation taught guys that they could have whatever they wanted without consequence. The result being divorce rates and single mothers skyrocketed. Later generations appear to have gotten away from that. I allowed my young doctor to vent recently. He's taking extra shifts at various clinics so that his wife can stay at home and raise their young children. I fully support his strategy, pre school children need their mothers during their formative years. Men take responsibility for their actions and look after their families. Guys are just guys...or worse.

As such I see no problem with the add, just as I saw no problem with the Colin Kaepernick add before it.

...Alphonso Davies has not been loaned out Bayern Munich.

Your history is all wrong, revisionist, and unsurprisingly blames "guys" for more of the social ills of society. Divorce rates and single mothers are the result of the pill, women in the workforce, and government welfare/handout programs. We haven't gotten away from any of it.

Colin Kaepernick never did get to play in the NFL again. He meant well but knows very little. What do you expect from an NFL player.

We should have commercials with the following message: Embrace your masculinity. It'll make you a winner.

This thread is hilarious, especially when smallcock joins in with his 2 inches of contributions on what’s needed for our masculinity. Yes - more ads to make us feel more masculine... LOL!

It’s just an ad, on YouTube no less (so you have to choose to watch it). The only ads that enrage me are deodorant ads - why should I mask my smell? I am a man, therefore if I smell like a savage it’s nothing to be ashamed of. Who are these leftist, pantywaist, limp waisted Nancy boys telling me how I should smell?

FUCK, THEY MAKE ME ANGRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

!!!!!!!!!

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

!!

And don’t get me started on fluoridation of our drinking water.... this was a problem long before Alex Jones warned us.

Who better to tackle the boys will be boys saying then men who went through it?

Who better to help stop a buddy from being harassing then his male friend?

And since it was a commercial for men, what is wrong with showing bullying by boys?

It was a commercial for men tackling today's issues. This one happen to be social issues. The other I saw was father issues.

I have no issue with them doing the same with women. Reserve the whole thing and make it all women. No big deal. Pretty sure Dove did a anti-bullying between women. They have done esteem and other women issue commercials as well. Most geared to positive body images but then advertising has told women wrongly for years they have to look a certain way. Certainly more so then men. Just men don't pay attention to those commercials and I get why they wouldn't. But we have them too. Just adding that in here.

The fact that none of you see the same issues of lecturing in the Gillette commercial of the father with his disabled son, shows the hypocrisy. There would have been no issue with this commercial if there was not a scene about harassing women. This is where all the hetro men got butt hurt. It is clear as day in this thread.

However, I support your right to bitch and moan and change brands. Do let us all know the new brand you have switched too and how you like it so much better then razor you ha e been using for years.

In a week, most of you will forget, move on and still use the same blade. So alls good. LOL

Not that I'm offended by the ad, but this Gillette ad is assuming men in general are assholes, which of course isnt true.
What if we reversed it and did a similar ad on black guys telling them to stop being criminals and be better fathers??
Or what if they did an ad on Asians or women and told them to be better drivers. The outrage would be massive.

So do you not see the double standard in all this??

You ask if I see a double standard yet cut off the part of my post that would and already has addressed that.

I don't see it saying that all men are assholes. That is not at all what I take from that commercial.

Maybe the question is why YOU see that message?

PS the Gillette father commercial is a black father and there is no uproar from the black community. Maybe let them speak for themselves.

That message was very subtle though. I think you're comparing apples and oranges here since no direct inferences were made, as opposed to the Gillette commercial which was much more obvious

No, I'm proving that we all bring our personal experiences into thing so see the message that is more relatable to our individual selves.

The campaign is the same for all these new commercials put out my Gillette. Being the best man you can be.

You see all men are assholes in the first commercial and I don't see that at all. I see men stepping up and stoping things that most of us agree is wrong. Bullying, harassing and fighting.

I see a message of fatherhood in the second commercial. I see a father teaching, coaching and actively parenting. You say you only see it subtly.

We each see something different because we are individually looking at it and our experience define the messages we see and how we see them.

So you need to ask yourself why YOU see assholes in that commercial. Only then will you starting being the best man you can be.
