Have to admit that I have not been following the NFL a lot this year, but have been able to catch a few games here and there.

Wild Card Round...

* Colts +2 @ Texans: Taking the Colts simply because of the QB's and the fact that Luck has been there.
* Seahawks +2.5 @ Cowboys: Coin toss here so I will take the home team.
* Chargers +2.5 @ Ravens: Leaning towards the Chargers even though I am a Ravens fan. Not to mention the Chargers could easily be on a by this week had KC not been a tad bit better.
* Eagles +6 @ Bears: Taking the Eagles because the spread is really high. Eagles have been playing well under Foles. I think the Bears will win (and hope they do), but it will be by a field goal.

Summary - Colts, Cowboys, Chargers and Eagles.

i agree with all your picks ref. i think all 4 of these games could be 3 pts either way. gonna take a couple pro-line ties here.

I am with you on 3.

With the spreads:

Colts
Seahawks
Chargers
Bears

Not sure taking 4 dogs is a wise strategy, but that's what I'm doing.

As of 3pm Saturday I have switched off. I am now taking Bears instead of Eagles. That is only because the defending champs with a more experienced QB plus 6.5 points seems too easy. Go Bears.

If I lose all 4 games this weekend, I am down $220.

I was surprised that Seattle went with a 2 point conversion instead of just kicking the extra point.

Had they missed that 2 point try and then recovered the onside kick (which was a joke of an execution) they would have needed a TD to win. Much more field to cover.

Just thought it was a strange decision. Maybe Carroll was pulling a Pete Rose and bet on his own team.

remember janokowski pulled his hamstring at the half. 2 pt conversion, onside kick, better chance for a field goal. no timeouts left. grant you, they would not have had their best fg kicker in there, but better chance i thought.

I had the Colts, Chargers and Eagles. Got the Seahawks wrong but knew that game was truly a toss up.

Will wait for the spreads to come out but I forsee the Saints defeating the Eagles by more than 10.

I shouldn't have made the last switch. I would have been 4-0 but 3-1 is still good and I am up $95.

Yes I did fail to post here you can believe me or not I could care less. And no I never claim to be better than the pros at handicapping. My bank account is proof of that.

The NFL has a Man of the Year award, but the Upright Citizen of the Year award definitely has to go to Cody Parkey.

LOL! After review it was noted that the kick was deflected by an Eagles player and it has been scored as a blocked field goal.

Poor Chicago. Do the right thing by playing the Vikings hard only to allow Philly to get in and they turn around and beat them.

3 out of 4. See what the spread will be like around Wednesday.

Well, on to the next round.

* Colts +4.5 @ Chiefs: Tough call here. The Colts are playing well and the Chiefs have sucked lately. Looks like a high scoring game. I'll take the Colts to cover, but not win.
* Cowboys +7 @ Rams: Another tough call. I'll stick with Dallas to cover.
* Chargers +4.5 @ Pats: I like the Chargers to win outright.
* Eagles +8 @ Saints: I will go with the Eagles. They were thumped earlier this by the Saints and I cannot see that happening again.

Hopefully there will be a couple of high scoring back and forth tilts this weekend.

Interesting. All 4 dogs covered as the away teams last week, which I thought was highly unlikely. Now you are predicting that for a 2nd week in a row. That would be amazing in terms of the odds against it (I think). I am not going down that road. LOL

Chiefs are for real. I don't think the Colts game will even be a close one.

Too bad the Chiefs did not bolster their defence. Yet their offense is undeniably something special and will compensate for their defensive shortcomings.

I wouldn't wager against Brady, he can pass like Marino with the brain of Montana.

I noticed that teams are moving to running qbs, not a good trend. The Ravens have a tradition of all star OL's but their QB couldn't pass from the pocket. I suspect several teams will tank next year to get a chance to draft Trevor Lawrence. He looked sensational against the Tide.
