Wow! A second game going into OT. NE wins the toss.
WooHoo!!!! Patriots are going to the Superbowl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Rams are an easier match up than the Saints. The Atlanta turf would have benefited the Saints uptempo offense. I don't have a lot of faith in Goff's decision-making under pressure. The biggest concern for the Patriots will be how their offensive line holds up because the Rams get excellent penetration into the backfield.

Brady, what an athlete. Drafted 199th in the sixth round. Amazing.

Unbelievable second half and then NE simply marched down the field in OT.

Too bad overtime in the play-offs is not a full quarter regardless of who scores.

Yes, I was a perfect 0-2!

That was brutal non-call. Not sure I've seen anything more obvious that was not called. Blatant foul missed, even with extra officials?
Almost as brutal as the phantom roughing the passer call that KC took for touching Brady. And I think it was on the same drive that they called a completion when the ball had clearly touched the ground on the catch. And then they overturned the muffed punt call by Edelman

Gooddell is clearly pulling for Brady and the Pats once again.

Brady, what an athlete.
What a coach and an organization he's played for. Imagine the numbers Manning would have put up if he'd played for Belichick and the Pats. Kudos to BB for his dominance.

Here's the thing:

No pressure, hurries, hits and sacks = greatness.

Pressure, hurries, hits, and sacks = just a mere mortal average to above average QB.

Check out the history. When facing pressure as described above, that most other QB's have faced throughout their careers, the greatest becomes a mere mortal. NYG '07, '11. SEA '14.

Heck the only time KC even touched the guy, a flag is thrown.

Had it not been for the bonehead Ford lining up in the neutral zone, the neutral zone for fuck sakes, Brady would have had his 3rd interception of the game ruled valid and thus lost the game for the Patriots even though nary a fingertip came within 2 yards of touching him without that fingertip being flagged for daring to come close to his greatness.

Many QB's throughout the years would have fared just as well under Belichick as the "never touched" Brady.

Can't see the Rams winning at all.

Refs are the deciding factor.. New Orleans were robbed.
Yes, that was a TERRIBLE no call, but the Saints didn't capitalize when the Rams couldn't even get first downs. Two fieldgoals and only one TD, fieldgoals are for losers, they had a chance to almost put the Rams away.

Louisiana Doctor Offers Free Eye Exams for NFL Refs After Blown Call in Saints Loss

An eye care center in Louisiana has offered the National Football League’s referees free eye exams, after the controversial blown call that led to the New Orleans Saints losing the NFC Championship Game on Sunday.
After the officials missed a blatant pass interference call that would have likely won the game for the Saints, Louisiana Family Eyecare offered free eye exams for NFL referees before next season, WWL Channel 4 reported.

“We will GLADLY provide no-cost eye exams to all NFL officials prior to next season to prevent the atrocity that occurred tonight,” Louisiana Family Eyecare wrote in Sunday evening Facebook post. “We would hate for someone else to feel our pain.”

The Superbowl is just on the horizon now so time to pick against the spread and others...

The lines I have seen are NE is favored by 2.5 points.

I would love to see the Rams win but I get the feeling that NE will prevail. Rams win if they get to Brady and Pats win if Brady is not pressured.

Per the coin flip I am going to go with Heads. The split has been pretty even over the years H 25/52. Lat time these two teams met in the Superbowl the Rams selected heads and won the coin toss.

Switched channels for the half time show. Watched youtube videos most of the game.

Boring it was because the Pats decided to win with the defense. And did they ever! They put the top flight Rams' offense in the sack and tossed it in the pond. A total team effort.

Ahhh, I see what you did there.

Still, I've noticed you tend to do very well with NHL Playoff picks.
Streaky.

Actually, over the years, my football betting in the playoffs has usually left me a winner. In 11 games in the playoffs this year, I wagered a total of $700 and ended out losing $300, plus $50 on the juice.

I watched the game with a bunch of old friend, by half time I was the only one watching. The play at the line of scrimmage was even more brutal, much more so than last year. Correct me if I'm wrong but Gurley went into the game with an abdominal injury - that must have hurt! No other team has more luck than the Pats.

I went to smoke a cigar at halftime. I found out why a cheese dick band ended up as the halftime entertainment. Jay Z led a boycott against the NFL over the treatment of Colin Kaepernick.
