Lucille Ball was a good comic actor but her legacy has faded somewhat. I would rate Bea Arthur ahead of her, she was the first true female stand up comic at a time when women should only be barefoot and pregnant. Carol Burnett is a genius, she was treated like a Goddess at the Golden Globes.

Lots of great comedians in this thread. Since Netflix and YouTube I've watched a lot of comedy both male and female.
Amy Schumer is not that bad. I think because of her meteoric rise people want to hate on her. Happens all the time when people become too popular.
I think her shallow character in her older stand up routines is funny.
Is she my favourite? No
I think she should be judged more on her stand up than movies. Otherwise Kevin Hart would fall into the same category.... shitty movies good stand up.
