There is so much hysteria surrounding the environment and that the planet is dying. i can't bother to review the numerous threads over the years that have predicted doom and gloom, only to find that nothing has happened.
This is a tough old rock that has survived way worse than what modern man can throw at it and it has always survived and lived on.
Humans should treat it with a little more respect because the planet has a funny way of ridding itself of anything that becomes too much of a nuisance.

The doom and gloom crowd on TERB are depressing. One post we're forcing an ice age, next post we're burning up the planet...Each one backed by the greatest science minds known to man.
So why do you think his statement has any relevance and why do you continue to deny the conclusions made by the masses of scientists who have actually studies the topic?
Point is the earth will always recover, it has survived asteroids, solar flairs, dino farts, and probably other thinks we dont even know about. This isnt about saving the planet its about saving us. Man is like a disease and will eventually be wiped out and replaced by another species.
Canada-man is not a fear mongerer. Hes simply showing all the global warmimg agreeing people here that what Gore said was BULLSHIT and will always be so.
If Al Gore and all the special interest lobbyists can predict what global warming WILL do or even how long before something bad happens, then im sure they can make great money at psychic fairs telling people their future!

I consider that statement too wishy-washy to be a prediction. Plus, it's based on a trend that didn't continue to the extent it was in the late 00's.
