Hmmmmmm
Unverified by the FBI. Yet still used to obtain a FISA warrant?
Methinks this should be investigated further. Who would use such a spurious document in a secret court?
Someone walks into the police station and tells them — with a good deal of supporting detail — there's evidence of evil doings at such and such an address. The cops know this person, and that based on their history, they could be reporting accurately. They would be failing their duty if they did not follow up, so among their various other avenues of investigation, they apply for a warrant.
Which is exactly the story with the Dossier and the FBI. And the reason we liberty-loving folk avoid secret courts as much as we can, is because they must deal with the spurious, assess the half-truths and decide between the known unknowns, and the unknowable. Because that's how security works.
