There are lots of reviews about the club and MAs.

In summary, it's a well respected club with lots of well respected and good MAs. And obviously the rest depends on your taste.

The main thing for me as a member us the ability to book online. I dont have to wait for a response from the MA. I think its the best run place and they train their staff well. The cost in the end is $40 I believe now. It was more when I joined. However that's not to say other spas aren't good. I just prefer CMJ as I have had my best experiences there. I also have to leave Brass off my list because I have only been once because getting downtown is difficult and dangerous for me.

I think it would be worth it if you want to do a walk-in or enquire who's available or book someone on short notice. Sometimes the lady you want to meet on the same day might not be able to reply back to your messages if she's busy with another appointment.
I've had good luck at CMJ but I researched the ladies before I booked my appointment.

I’ve never bothered with membership but I go occasionally.

Each session is generally worth the money but I don’t see the value in membership as opposed to visiting as a guest. They advertise well on twitter so the schedules are available the day before or morning of, which is generally all the notice I need. Main downside of booking as a guest is you need to phone in, but not a big deal at all.

Agree. No point of getting CMJ membership even for only $40. Brass is $5. Also other spas have no membership fee.

If the CMJ people are reading this thread... It would be great if memberships were available at all CMJ locations... I have visited the East as a guest a couple of times and the ladies have been great so I would be more than willing to sign up, however making it to Merrivale is challenging.
Thanks!

Just to clarify a few things about the benefits of membership and to answer the question about whether or not it’s “worth” it to join.

1) access to the members side of the website that has in-depth profiles of the ladies, more photos and our very own review and discussion boards that you can communicate with other members.

2) access to our convienent 24 hour online booking system that sends real time notifications about cancellations, changes etc IF you opt in to have your email address in the system.

3) access to our loyalty program: receive up to $50 off future reservations.

4) access to our bargain rooms

5) birthday promotions

6) access to personalized recommendations to ensure you are spending time with the right hostess.

7) access to our exclusive member events and parties

8) guaranteed satisfaction: provided you were following the club rules and procedures, if you weren’t 100% satisfied with your experience at CMJ you are eligable to receive up to 100% of the reservation fee back (varies depending on the circumstances of each reservation).

9) prioritized booking and room selection.

I think I may even be missing a few perks.

Membership is available at all locations, please book in advance for east end and DT weekends.

There you have it folks: just the guarantee alone makes membership worth it so next time someone tells you it’s not worth it, ask then if they don’t like to protect their investment!

CMJ is the original private members hostess lounge in Ottawa, in Ontario and even Canada. We have been operating legally since 2007 and have over 10,000 members.

Thanks Mya for the detailed information; I wasn't aware of some of the benefits of membership but I've been a member since Day 1. If you're hesitating about joining, absolutely worth it !!
A very happy CMJ member.

Thanks Mya, there are some benefits that I didn't know about and it's great that you shared with us.

I'm a member myself and I am enjoying it. it's hard to argue against it but there is the higher price point for the membership vs other spas most don't charge for membership. Brass charges only $5. There are drawbacks to no membership like Mya said.

Happy hobbying!

I recently had the worst MA experience ever at AT/PS and complained to the front desk and all they said was ‘we have lots more girls to try’!! I can confirm from experience CMJ will compensate you for a bad experience even 100%!

I can also confirm CMJ’s commitment to customer satisfaction. I’ve been to the 5$ membership place and had horrible experiences (and a few pleasant ones) and complained to Jessica and was dismissed and never compensated. Similar to Bill54 description of PS/AT. Now that CMJ is downtown, I don’t even see the point of going anywhere else. Review of my first experience at CMJ downtown coming soon.

To stipulate that we are a lesser quality private members' club because we only charge $5 for a membership is BOGUS!
We only charge $5 for a membership because we have no interest in gouging our clients for what is really a simple formality for legal purposes.
We are not interested in making a profit off a meaningless fee, where our hostesses do not benefit whatsoever!

Did you complain?
Above all else, our hostesses comfort and safety in the working environment is a priority. When you respect your hostesses boundaries, within GFE MA limits, you'll find you have a great time.
Please keep that in mind when complaints are being addressed.
Thank you.

Jessica

I've only been to two MPs and both are not mentioned in this thread so I have no dog in this fight, as they say, but for one club to post on another's discussion thread because of one Terb member's complaint with an underlying tone he is not respecting hostess's boundaries and that the other is in a way gouging its clients is a poor business model approach in my opinion.

I have the right to defend my business. And I'm obliged to do so, as any other establishment would.

Honestly, if you think that it's poor business approach to comment on this thread, I would do a search of CMJ comments on similar threads concerning the Brass Club.

It's a jab at us to stipulate that our membership cost is so low because we are an inferior class establishment. We felt the need to clear this up!

We don't really know what was mmmgood's complaint. I could be totally in the wrong! You don't know who most people are on this board.
But if the complaint did have anything to do with boundaries, it might have been dismissed as we don't really want those people at our club.

I think that from a clients perspective, my issue with Jessica's comments has to do with assuming that a clients complaint about a MA is related pushing her boundaries. I've had several bad experiences over the years from many MPs including CMJ (my fav) and at no point has it been because of me pushing boundaries and everything to do with the interest from the MA. I'm sure there are some idiots who push the boundary and get upset when denied but I believe most complaints are legit
