5.6 billion could go a long way here, how about building more hospitals, old age homes, assisted living facilities, helping first nations, infrastructure, that money could be well spent here instead of it going into the pockets of corrupt leaders.BTW in case you guys did not know it, Canada spends 5.6 BILLION a year in foreign assistance. How do you know that happens, BTW every govt in Canada has spent billions on foreign aid. If these countries are simply allowed to collapse then we get..REFUGEES. My sister is a nurse at a Toronto hospital, she says our health care system is stretched to it's limits because of funding. We have people waiting from 6-9 months to get an MRI, and 2-3 months for a CT scan, a lot of people have to go to the U.S. and pay out of pocket to get a diagnosis. I know every government given foregin, that doesn't make it right, We give so much money in foreign aid yet we still get a lot of refugees, that blows your theory out of the water. Take off your rose coloured glasses. What facts do you base your theory on that the systems I mentioned have adequate funding? The long wait times to see specialists and get diagnostic imaging? The long wait times to get aging seniors into homes? The long waiting list of people trying to get affordable housing, fighting the opiod crisis that's getting worse by the day?
